Summary of the Book
This is the story of a young war veteran and his attempt to make an improvement in his life. His childhood love has left him and he is recovering from war injuries. He is sad as he is sure that it was true love that he lost. He starts his own travel firm and is accompanied by a travel freak, Umrao, on a random trip. They visit old and forgotten cities, and experience the cults and practices of these places. They explore the life in the village like it has never been seen. Soon, the doubts that they kept hidden and their fears begin to unwind. Towards the end of trip Umrao disappears leaving no clue. Aviral finds out that she was a woman who belonged to the banned streets of some unknown town. Will Aviral accept and confess his love for her?
