Lovely Board Books: Gift Pack 01 Edition

We purchased this set for our 8 month old daughter.
What's good.
1. The book is perfect sized for little hands
2. The pages are thick enough for her to turn
3. The binging is strong
4. The printing is bright and cheerful

Details on each book
1 colour book: it assigns one colour to an article say magenta for slippers. This in my mind is misleading as slippers could be of many colours. It would have been better if eAch colour had a specific article . E.g apples are red.pears are green. Etc. what however is good is that each page has only one picture and its very clear.

2 fruit book. This is the one of the better books in the set. Most of the pages has only one fruit with clear bright pictures of the cut and uncut fruit

3. Abc book . Some of the alphabet article assignment is non traditional but interesting. However what disappoints is that a-r have individual pages then s- z have two alphabets per page with small pictures

4. Numbers . It counts 1-20 . However this pictures used for counting are very lack lustre and drab.

5. Birds. Small pictures with two birds to a page. Drab pictures.

6.food. Has too many pictures in one page . There is no nutritional food . Most is junk food and no Indian food is described.

7. Toys. This book seems to be made just so that they can make a 10 book pack .it is completely useless

8. Vehicles. It has all the vehicles in the world from the Japanese bullet train to a bullock cart. Again 2 pcs to a page and really small pics. It's a jumble of pics and really not categorised

9. Animals. Again a jumble of small pics with multiple animals to a page . No distinction between wild and domesticated animals . A mess.

10. Vegetables. This book is the worst. 3 pics to a page. All sorts of veg clubbed together . I can understand that mint and coriander are clubbed on a page being herbs n all but what does artichoke and ginger have in common?

Will not recommend this to any one.

The books are pocket sized. I had expected them to be little big. My mid found it little difficult to go through them. He instead uses them as building blocks. I would suggest go for a bigger book, some kind of encyclopedia or my first 1000 words, which kids find easy to handle. Size being the only con, I liked the topics and the quality and colors.

The pack is very good for your own kid or for gifting. The books are good, nice shiny covers, but the quality of covers is a little bad. Some of them came out after a few reads. But overall a good purchase. My daughter loves to read them all. Though she is 18 months and is more interested in the pictures and vibrant colours, but she keeps herself busy for a very long time looking at these. I am happy to have them . And not to be forgotten - some are at home, some are in the car and some at grandma's house.. :-)

very good set of books. my one & half year old loves it, very nice realistic & quality printing of pictures. will indulge habit of reading in kids. must buy for those who have kids at home.

I bought this product for my niece and i got this product in well packed condition but the product is not as good as i expected. The product contains 10 books which are as small as comfortable for my 2 year old niece that is good for me but the english word used in this all books are to hard for any 2-3 years old child.
I want to thanks flipkart for again making me so happy by shipping this product on time and packaging of flipkart is so so nice and it is increadable .....and i will 10 stars to flipkart for that.
