Summary of the Book
This fable is a follow-up to Haroun and the Sea of Stories. Something bad has happened in the beautiful city of Kahani that is present in the land of Alifbay. Rashid, twelve-year-old Luka’s father, has slipped into a sleep so deep that nobody and nothing is able to wake him up. Luka needs to ensure that her storytelling father does not slip away entirely and goes on a journey through Magic World. She comes face to face with many fantastic and magical obstacles along the way that intend on stealing the Fire of Life. Fighting them off is a difficult and dangerous task. With this book and Haroun and the Sea Stories, Salman Rushdie has proved to be one of the best writers of fables. It is a popular book among readers of all ages.
