Malgudi Days

hey, i have heard a lot about this book.And when I got a chance to read it, I was highly overwhelmed. It is really a marvellous book. It is a collection of short stories. Every story is different. Some are humorous, some are sad and some are thought provoking. I like its every shade. but my favorite ones are father's help, The doctor's word, Attila, Cat within and Ishwaran. Although others are also good but i think,these are the best. In Ishwaran, author very sincerely portrait the inner pain and then happiness of one's heart. I highly like the character of Ishwaran perhaps due to similarity between him and me.
So, in crux, I simply say that it is a wonderful book. I provides you a great joy when you read the inner thoughts, feelings of a person especially when described by great author like R.k Narayan. I highly recommend it.

rk naraynan in malgudi days re-orients the features of testimony and societal consciousness in higher level of integrational living in a holistic pattern of existentialism and philosophical realm. in ths novel rk naraynans central point of vision is attributed to day to day problems of our society in a novel manner and talent exposition in totality.the author re-affirms justification of action and firmness in growth and fuller level of association of ideas in yearning level of richness in a realistic content and consent . this novel gears the validity of perfection and artistic bent of appreciation in totality and existence of approach.the technique of narration is wonderfully explorated in this novel of human conscious effort of vicimization in human power of re-asserting consciousness aspects in greatness.

I completed reading this book which comprise mainly of short stories and found its worth beyond the price. The author deals with the day-to-day life of changing human nature, innocence and experiences gained, about the sensitive human qualities that one possess, and also the feeling of humiliation that one faces.The author tries to convey the readers about the hard realities of life.

It will be really impossible for me to describe the quality reading of this book in just few words, but I can assure you that though Malgudi is a fictional town of the author, you will find yourself lost in its world while going through it! :)

RK Narayanan if one of the best authors I have know. But I have never read a book written by him, although I have seen malgudi days in doordarshan when I was very small I don't remember any episodes in it. The writer has the ability to take you into the streets of malgudi with his writing. Very well written and fun to read. I will recommend this book to every one. Thanks to flipkart for selling such good books.

Really very good stories have given. Best part about book is you becomes part of 'Malgudi' while reading. It explains situations very well. The characters in the stories are simple city folk whom you come across everyday in real life. There are no super heroes or villains. No kings and king makers. No beautiful damsels in distress. Yet, the characters are very live and make the reader aware of their presence.
