Absolute must-have

This is a gem of a product. A friend (very thoughtfully) gifted us the VCD version and we are greedily working our way through the fine buffet of 18 disks. I am sure the DVD version will be even better and they are selling it dirt cheap (same price as couple of YRF flops)!

The audio and video quality is good, which is impressive considering this is 20 year old and before private broadcasters came in. The stories, of course, are impeccable. The cast and acting is superb and the director crea...

Nostalgic and exceptionally brilliant... No u don't need to just watch it,... U need to own it. Great price for an excellent item. Totally worth every penny. I was just so excited even browsing thru the menu with background theme song. An absolute must buy for all, especially those looking for top-class short moral stories.

Excellent!

Bought this collection to be able to go through my childhood memories once again... But I was in for a pleasant surprise! My kids LOVED it too!! They have already watched it quite a few times and are always ready for one more time :)

The picture quality is not quite up to the mark if compared to the quality you get these days but not at all bad. The beautiful stories make up for that.

Malgudi days

This product contains newer episodes added to the older version of malgudi days by Shankar Nag.The newer episodes are very boring compared to the older ones.L.Vaidyanathan's music in the old version brings out the essence of Malgudi.The newer versions music score is so out of place and thus the episodes lack any charm.Can someone suggest me a DVD which contains only all the old episodes of Malgudi days shot by Shankar Nag?
