MAMTA BANERJEE : MY UNFORGETTABLE MEMORIES (English) (Paperback) Price: Rs.250

My Unforgettable Memories is the English version of the Bengali memoir written by Mamata Banerjee, a powerful and controversial Indian political leader.

Summary Of The Book

My Unforgettable Memories is an autobiographical account of the personal and political journey of Mamata Banerjee, a noted Indian politician. She writes in great detail about every aspect of her life, from her happy childhood to her struggles in her political career, all of which have contributed to her personality and political persona.

She classifies the people surrounding her into three basic types: friends - who support her at every step, enemies - who ceaselessly plot against her, and conspirators - who are but enemies disguised as friends. Banerjee gives in-depth accounts of various events in her political career, including her election efforts, the rallies she has organized, her confrontations with the police, her separation from the Congress party, the establishment of her own political party, and her ascension to the post of Chief Minister of West Bengal.

Her anecdotes reveal her humble beginnings, religious nature, and stubborn temperament. They give the readers interesting insights into the life of one of India’s top politicians.

My Unforgettable Memories was published in 2012 by Roli Books. The original book was written initially in Bengali. This particular edition is the English version, translated by Nandini Sengupta.

Forget about it, please!

This book is a sheer waste of money. I urge nobody to buy this book as this is boring and there is nothing in here that was worth putting n to printing. I don't know why this person even thought of making a book. Nobody wants to know about her unforgettable memories, rather they are better forgotten.
Just because one is a party leader doesn't mean their books are going to be best sellers like Hitler's Mein Kampf or Obama's book.

Seriously, not worth your time and money.

Terrible..

Terrible !!! She has destroyed Indian railway and now she has come up with a book which will be very useful as toilet paper. I never thought this book would be so bad. Mamta has twisted the truth and exaggerated in every way like a witch. Two decades, we are living in Kolkata but never felt that much unsecured in the streets and lawlessness is greater than Bihar. So don't waste money ordering this book.

DEPENDS ON YOUR PERSPECTIVE

If you are from anywhere in the world except from West Bengal, this story is awe inspiring. How a simple girl from humble beginning became the most powerful person in a state, while fighting and demolishing the forces of evil, with sheer determination and hard work, representing the people at large with a selfless superhuman gusto.
But if you are from this particular multidimensional state, then you know this book is intertwined with both truth and otherwise as does all political stories or history, and you must read it with at times a pinch of salt or honey depending upon your knowl...

Whatever this may be, it is a clear and sometimes, forced upon picture into the mind of one of the biggest mass leader in 21st century INDIA, and a definite topic for discussion.

Awful

Truth has been murdered in every paragraph of this book. Now I can understand how Mamta has destroyed west bengal with some hooligan leaders. I think Bengali people are against development and love chaos that's why they have elected such a inefficient and corrupted leader.

Oh My God !!!

A book with all kind of lies and exaggeration. My friend has given this book and told if you need some laughing gas then you must read this "ma mati manus" book. This book is awful like present situation of West Bengal. Writing style also synchronizes with present law and order situation of the state, pathetic. However we still can not get proper answer about Mamata's father, what I expected. A real Wastage of money. I am giving a star very unwillingly.

What to say?

It helped me find out why she is such a poor administrator! The lady is superstitious as per her own writing and what can also be found that while she may oppose everything to do something worthwhile when the opportunity is hers now is beyond her. (View complete review)
