Lens protector
Most people damage their lens due to excessive cleaning rather than poor handling. I bought Marumi UV filter mainly as a lens protector for my newly purchased superzoom camera. Frankly, I can't tell the difference between photographs taken with and without a UV filter!
Earlier I was using a cheap filter (on another camera) which had started to show signs of use on both the glass and the metal rim. Marumi UV filter is an economical replacement. The fit and finish are good. It can be used in combination with other effect filters if you want.

great lens protector.....
I wanted add a protective layer on my lens as i do a lot of outdoor photography. Result of which was a lot of dust and dirt on my lens. And this product does exactly that.
There is hardly any difference whatsoever with \ without the filter; but it really protects your lens. The overall quality of the product is very good. It gets screwed above the lens and the your "Clip Lens cap" fits on it also.
A must buy for anyone who use their stuff with care.

Good Filter
Affordable and I believe, a must to protect the lens surface. Like most, I never remove it from my lens.
Flipkart delivery is good and packing was awesome. No damage whatsoever to the filter. A must buy for people who are not looking to move to much more fancy filters just yet.
The best !! Get one immidiately
I bought my Nikon D3200 recently from Amazon , and bought this filter to protect my lens when i was in Inadia for a couple of days. It fits perfectly and is very clear . No effect on the photographs whatsoever. I would highly recommend you to get this lens cause its the cheapest and the best. And of course Flipkart does a wonderful job in delivering the stuff on time, and i must say even better than Amazon!!. Go for it !

Good for Lens protection
This is more than enough for a filter that doesn't actually work, it is essentially a layer of protection for your lens's front element.
UV rays used to affect the image quality with the film cameras only, it is not a problem with CCD and CMOS sensors.
Even if you buy a UV filter for more than thousand rupees the image quality will not improve, as I said it's a good lens protector from dust and small impacts.
