Marumi 58 mm Ultra Violet Haze Filter

UV filters are used a lens protector nowadays. You don't really need a UV filter for your DSLR camera if you know.

Few thing about quality of this filter since I have used it. This is just a cheap low quality plastic filter which does not even have a anti reflective (AR) coating on it. If you have good eyes for photography, you will find flares in your clicks. I bought a Hoya filter later which is truly a glass filter and have AR coating on it. You can keep both filters next to each other and see the difference.

Anyway I don't use filters nowadays since you really should not panic too much about lens protection unless you are working in a bad place or condition. Filters actually degrades sharpness of photographs. Take my Words!

if u are looking for a filter to avoid scratches on your lens , this is the one for you....i have tried hoya filter which costs 3 times as much as this,with absolutely no difference...good product,decent pricing and timely delivery..thanks flipkart

If you want to but an UV filter and most buy it only to protect the lens , this is the one to buy for those on a budget. Probabaly the best quality one can get in this price range and the filters available at even lower prices are only glass that probabaly spoil your results.

Been using it for a month and have no complaints. As a lens protector works well and indoors low light shots also come out well.

I am a first timer to use a DSLR and I was told to buy a UV filter. Checked Flipkart and found this to be the cheapest of the lot.

It was brand new, made in Japan, fine threads for gently fixing it to the 18-55mm lens. I am still not sure how the other most expensive filters are better, but I guess, for a starter and low budget DSLR owner, this is a good one to use.

Marumi is a popular brand in Japan. I feel "safe" and happy when I am using this lens filter. Pictures taken using this filter are quite better, I feel. Overall, a decent product to buy.

if your pocket permits buy hoya.i bought this one and i regret buying this.it gives ghosting image,picture is not sharp when this filter on.since flipkart doesnt allow to upload picture or providing any external link i cant show the differences with and without the filter.

but it is better than the pixtek and nisi.if you really need something desperately and you cant afford to pay hoya then buy this.
