Mass Effect is a space based Role Playing game for the PC, however, the console versions are also available. The game has been published by EA, or Electronic Arts. Mass Effect 2 is a sequel to the hugely popular Mass Effect and is the second game in a trilogy with a massive fan following. The game is set in the Milky Way galaxy, which is our own galaxy in the universe. The game takes place in the distant future where a new Element called Element Zero, or Eezo has been discovered. The discovery of this element led to an exponential advancement in technology that allowed Man to engage in FTL or Faster Than Light travel that facilitates journeys across the galaxy in a matter of hours or days.
Early before the events of Mass Effect 2, Man discovered the Mass Relays and opened a few of them by accident. This led to them coming face to face with the Turian Race. The Turians are known to have the most powerful military in the galaxy and they wage war on the Human fleet thinking them to be too primitive to handle the Mass Relays. The war ended only after the Galactic Council intervened and inducted humanity into the Galactic Council. The game also comes with the option of getting DLCs like Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival among other less significant DLCs.
Mass Effect 2 is a critically acclaimed RPG which sold over two million copies in the early days of its release. The success of the game, together with the whole Mass Effect series is largely due to the interactive storytelling in the game coupled with deep rooted characters with believable background stories for all of them.
Mass Effect 2 is a Single Player RPG where Commander Shepard is the pivotal character that you control. Developing and customizing your character is one of the main elements in the game. Interpersonal relationships between the main character and the crew members is also very important to the mission. Team loyalty is earned through missions in the game where you help your team members get through their own personal trials and tribulations.
Another important aspect in the game is the fact that, even though the game occurs in Real-time, you can at any point, pause it and take aim at your enemies while using powers and special abilities. This comes in handy when commanding squad members to target different enemies or the same one as you. The game uses the concept of shielding and cover during fight sequences. The characters have regenerative health and shields which make combat that much more enjoyable. The game has a PEGI rating of 18 for violence.

First of all the storyline is not linear, which is a good thing because that gives this game really good replay value. This game truly revolutionized the rpg genre. I personally was never into rpg but this one completely changed my notion of what a good game should be, totally worth your money.
a Blackspot in everyone's Analysis. The review that i wrote earlier, for Mass Effect 2, was such a thing, in my list of written reviews..
I played Mass Effect - 1 and had a fantastic time with the RPG. It offerred me an entire Universe to explore, made me a Spectre which means, I can do anything, that I wont and the world is only scared of it and it came the closest to real life, by offerring the player a range of dialogue choices i.e., the Decision Wheel, which is, in one word, "AWESOME"!!
Believe me, if this is what you experienced, after playing ME - 1, then, you should believe me again, you've seen only 1% of ME-2.
ME - 2 is, in a way, a Wholly different game, compared to ME - 1. Perhaps that was what struck me as odd when I started playing the game, wholly different from ME - 1 and I was disappointed to see that all the free options that a player had, in ME - 1 were removed, like Battle suit selection and so on. Hell, even the level up attributes were reduced to only 5 - 6, while ME - 1 had about 14 different attributes for the user to allocate points.
Believe me, as you keep going forward, you would only wish to keep playing ME-2 on and on.
The Game is utterly intense and so deeply engrossing that you would feel like you really stepped into the shoes of Shepard, when you start playing the game. The combat has been upped; The Cover system has been made manual and the player can now switch into cover, or jump over it, though a switch is not possible (not yet, but ME-3 introduced Jump and Cover-to-cover switch, which was WAY TOO COOL); Thermal Clips are now added, like Magazines, which make the player shoot properly, with more aim, which provides ULTIMATE THRILL and depending upon the role you select, your powers vary. I initially took the Role of a Vanguard where the Fire power is limited and the powers are such that they bring you into a very close range with the enemy. I must've died a 50 times before I got vexed and changed to a Soldier's role and Voila, the difference was HUGELY AWESOME!! The soldier enjoys a SUPERB Firepower benefit and that would have a HUGE tactical advantage, on the battlefield. I later plan to play the game again, now, in the role of an Engineer, so that I can use combat drones and overload and incinerate to take down the enemies.
Of course, all of this, is just about the Combat.
The actions that you take have a huge impact in the game. It matters right down to identifying your team members down to their best abilities and choose the best among them. It matters to take a decision where a team member's life could hang on a knife's edge. It matters where the decision you take could impact the entire universe, or just one person. That too, along with quick time Paragon/Renegade Events, make the entire decision/dialogue process of the game a HUGE HIT!!
Believe me, I was never more thrilled to step into ME-2 when I was halfway through the game. You dont get to select the teammates armour here, but of course, that doesn't matter much as your own armour is now divided into bits and pieces, which you should assimilate to make a proper stand in any battle. You put too much health bit and your sheilds will suffer. Put too much Shields and your health will suffer. Concentrate only on health and Shields and you'll be susceptible to Biotic damage. I tell you, the way the armour system has been designed, though intially a bit confusing, will later on become an Obsession.
And, there's the Story. It does appear a bit vague of course, that Shepard is coolly strolling through worlds, making very expensive shoppings and purchases, while the human world, is on the brink of collapse. It seems even more vague, that the story is human centric, when there was the chance for exploiting other alien species as well, but the way the RPG plays, the Story is MIND BLOWING. Some of the choices I made literally made my heart cry out. This might be because the game became an obsession for me, but one must consider this - WHAT did this game have, to make it an obsession, in the first place?
I forgot that I was playing with a Mouse and Keyboard. I had the best time of my life!!
The moment I finished ME-2, I jumped straight into ME-3 and you'll have to believe, when I say, that ME - 2, is, maybe 20% of ME-3. ME-3 again, is that enjoyable and obsessively gaming, a Simply Wonderful Experience, a Fitting end to one of the Best TRilogy, games, or movies, that I ever encountered.
Hats off to EA and Bioware, for making a game like ME-2. I rate this a complete 6/5, if there can be such a rating. For this game deserves it.
Yours,
MVVK.

mass effect arrival dlc for around 400 rs is also great
It's funny actually... I had downloaded this game originally.... And was playing it when accidentally the whole Games folder on my system was deleted.
I decided to buy the original copy.... Coz i really liked the game.
Here is what happend
Flilkart delivered the game on yime... i.e. The very next day.
When i installed the game i could not use my previous game saves because it tutned out that the downloaded version of the game also had some DLCs included in the game, but since my new game did not have any DLCs i could not use the older Game saves.
So i decided to get the DLCs. When i tried to login to the Cerebrus network (this is required to connect to Bioware in order to get the DLCs) i could not because it turned out that the Cerebrus network code was not the serial key... It comes separately. On the back of the cover of the game it was mentioned that this copy has a Cerebrus network code.... But i cluld not find one.
I contacted EA... they told me to contact Flilkart... I knew that if i mentioned such a complex situation to poor service centre people... They wouldn't get it. And that was what happened... They didn't seem to get what i wanted... But assured me that they will mail me whatever the resolution is, so that i can show it to the EA people incase it's not Flilkart's fault. But the i decided against all the complexity and decided to download the DLC pack using torrents.
After i did it... And installed all the DLCs and played the game... I felt incredibly stupid... Having bought the game in the first place. Even the DLCs charge 300-400 bucks each.... And the free ones are really... Well... Stupid.
So now... I am thinking if i should buy ME3 or not.
About the game : well it's amazing... A little slow because it's an RPG... But definitely a must play.
ME2 is a little harsh on newcomers at the beginning but more than makes up for it with its well paced and interesting narrative. The combat has been greatly improved from the original and the characters remain as deep and interactive as ever. However, combat is quite easy even on hard and it lacks some of the open-world exploratory flavor. The upgrade system is cool, but the mining process is outright tedious. The
N7 missions pack a neat little surprise but involve too much effort to locate. Also, the weapon customization options will be missed. Despite its flaws, ME2 stands out due to its hard gray decisions and strong RPG elements. The ending is one of the best seen in modern RPGs. It is a must buy for any RPG lover.
