Description

Resonance -  We often use the term, “frequency matching” in our daily life to define compatibility. Our frequency does not match, we do not get along? We are not in sync? We are not on the same page etc? When people of similar frequencies (wavelengths or within the same range) come together – output is not a simple sum of individual work, but exponential. In science we term this phenomenon as resonance. Output at this stage is beyond any logical limit. Three young kids, with different family backgrounds and outlook meet during their graduation days at IIT-Bombay campus and become close friends. Although, individually they are in sync, but the same is not true for their interaction with the world. How will their relation withstand the conflict of family and society pressure? How do their character shape out, as they traverse from an educational environment through the corporate world to the realm of the social-political world? Inspired by the real events across the globe from the last decade, Ravindra Shukla brings you the characters based story – struggle and triumphs of a young generation and their relevance in the current socio-eco-political era.

surprise pack from a new commer

Recently during my India, I had encounter with the author of this book. I was heading to Allahabad from Lucknow by bus. I was reading Fountainhead and he simply walks in and starts conversation.
- You like Ayn Rand work?
- I looked-up and said yes (little surprised by stranger sudden entry). But why?
- Do you read Chetan Bhagat or Amish?
- Yes, I read them also.
- Variety of interest. great.
- Why are you surprised?
- Ayn Rand is more of philosophy than fiction. It is just that reading phi...

Its different!

The story revolves around the lives of three friends in IIT, one girl and two guys. Rings bells of yet another love triangle! Read on. The book goes through the ups and downs in their lives, their college life, their personal lives, their professional lives.

I liked the protagonist a lot who for me in one line is "a brilliant mind who chooses to follow his heart".

The best part of the book for me are the (long but don't feel long) discussions between characters which stimulate your mind an...

A must read!

It's a book about three individuals and their growth path from youth to adulthood and the complexity, hardship, challenges and love in this complex world.

Though I am not a very regular reader (too many things in Mumbai to do), however this story line keeps you hooked on to the book and poems written in beginning have great depth and vision.

Pros -
Great story line
Chapters are well positioned
Characters well thought off
Good study by author on actual reality of life covering India and US...

Argumentive..... superb characterization.... and bluntly value for money(paisa vasool)

Firstly I am not a book critic to comment on the book.
I must admit its beatifullly and more importantly intelligently crafted.
I met the author in a party, 1 month before I bought the book and 2 months later I read it...
I would say "Shuklaji you have hit a centruy in your debut match."
Intelligently crafted by simple english and the ability to touch atleat some part of the readers heart.
Frankly I was bored on my flt from Mumbai - Indore with nothing to do and a book which I was keeping ar...

Story of Three Hearts

Now a days when people see a book based on IIT or IIM and by an Indian Author the only thought that crosses their mind is, “OH NO, NOT AGAIN.” The same happened to me when A Maverick Heart – Between Love and Life was put up by Reader’s Cosmos for review. I went to ‘goodreads’ saw a 3.9 rating and said yes without a second thought. The book came, I read the synopsis, and must say I was impressed by the thought process put behind the book, but the mention of three friends and IIT campus had me ...

Another IIT good novel for all of us

What would i say about this book it is an another IIT story, along with campus, love, revenge, struggle, rigidness of parents, Indian corruption etc etc. I didn’t like that much but when you have started the book at least you would like to complete it but i must say at one time i decided to quit this book but after completing near about 200 pages it started interesting. The second half of the book is good when their is a life of USA and this is where the turning point of the book starts when ...

Engaging work

I read the book while it was in the making. And now I see it as a complete manuscript, well bound and published. What carried it through was the consistency of author's belief. And it is this consistency of ideas, thoughts, reasons that one can see reflected in the book. The characters arise from familiar situations and settings. Settings non-glamorous with limited dramatic angles (no broken families, no war childrean, no chaotic or stifled characters). It is the characters and author's abili...

Good Piece of Work !!

The writer comes with a much matured way of writing and the contents more or less reflect about his stay at IITB and his subsequent life.I would recommend it in place of Chetan Bhagat's books if someone wants to learn about life of IITian.
