I have received a damaged product. How do I get a replacement?

… মনেপড়ে সেই রাত্রি গুলি ...আঁশ্ শেওড়ার পাতা থেকে টিনের চালে ঝরে পরছে শিশির। কোন্ অচেনা রাতপাখি উড়ে এসে একটু বিশ্রাম নিতে বসেছে টিনের চালে। শব্দ পাচ্ছি তার। আর ছবিতে, অক্ষরে ভেসে মনে মনে তখন ঘুড়ে বেড়াচ্ছি শেরউড্ বনের আনাচে কানাচে। এযেন সেই দুঃসাহসী শংকরের সঙ্গে ‘চাঁদের পাহাড়’ এর সন্ধানে আফ্রিকার অরণ্যে হারিয়ে যাওয়া। কে বলবে বিভূতিভূষণ দেখেননি আফ্রিকা? কে বলবে ময়ূখ চৌধুরি’ ছিলেননা ব্রাজিলের বনে, আলেকজান্ডারের ছাইনিতে বা প্রস্তর যুগে, মানুষের আদিমতম অস্ত্র উদ্ভাবনের দিনটিতে? ময়ূখ চৌধুরির রেখা গুলির দিকে আজো চেয়ে থাকি অপার বিস্ময়ে। সাদা-কালো’র আশ্চর্য ব্যবহারে আলো অন্ধকারের যে ইঙ্গিত তাঁর ছবিতে, তেমন আর অন্য কারোর আঁকায় খুব দেখেছি বলে মনে পড়েনা। কোনো এক শারদীয়া ‘কিশোর ভারতী’তেই প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল ময়ূখ চৌধুরি’র ‘হুল’ । সাঁওতাল বিদ্রোহের পটভূমিতে ঐ’যে ছবিতে গল্প তাতেই আমার প্রথম ‘বড়দের কবিতা’ পড়া – “ এই মৃত্যু উপত্যকা আমার দেশ না/ এই জল্লাদের উল্লাসমঞ্চ আমার দেশ না / এই বিস্তীর্ণ শ্মশান আমার দেশ না / আমার দেশ কে আমি ফিরে কেড়ে নেবো / বুকের মধ্যে টেনে নেবো কুয়াশায় ভরা বিকাল’ ... এই পংক্তি গুলি আজো ভুলিনি। ভুলিনি ঐ ছবিতে গল্পেরি অন্যত্র থাকা এই পংক্তি গুলিওঃ ‘নীল আমি ছুঁয়ে আছি শতচ্ছিন্ন কবন্ধ স্বদেশ/ ধান, মৃত্যু, জন্মঋণ / নীল আমি ছুঁয়ে আছি আদিবাসী ধনুকের ছিলা / নীল, তোর স্পর্শে আমি রক্তমুখী নীলা ...’ এইতো সেদিন, আমার দশ বছরে পা দেওয়া ছেলে, ময়ূখ চৌধুরি’র ‘মৃত্যুহীন প্রাণ’ পড়ে আমাকে এসে বলবো ‘বাবা, আমাকে এই কবিতাটা শিখিয়ে দাও ...’ কোন কবিতা? ‘এখনি অন্ধ বন্ধ করোনা পাখা’ ... বিদ্যাসাগরকে নিয়ে ছবিতে গল্প ‘মৃত্যুহীন প্রাণ’এ, নানা স্থানে ময়ূখ চৌধুরি উদ্ধৃত করেছেন এই কবিতাটি ।
আমার মনে আসছে হালের দার্শনিক (?) তথা ঔপন্যাসিক Umberto Eco’র The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana উপন্যাসটির কথা যেখানে তিনি কাহিনীর প্রোটাগোনিষ্টের অবচেতনের গহনে আমাদের নিয়ে গিয়ে জানিয়েছেন এই সত্য, যে, মূলতঃ পাঠ্য পুস্তক নয়, আমাদের সৎ-অসৎ ভালো-মন্দের প্রথম বোধটি মূলতঃ জন্ম নেয় তার পারিপার্শ্বের ‘pop culture’ এর অবচেতন-বিশ্লেষণের মাধ্যমেই। ... সেই কাজটিই আমাদের জন্য করে গিয়েছেন ময়ূখ চৌধুরি।

This book literally transported me to my childhood. Days when I used to read comic books covered inside text books, or with a torch under the blanket or during the rainy days after returning from school.
