MBA At 16: A Teenager’s Guide To Business is a book for teenagers dealing with the functionality of a business entity.

    Summary Of The Book

Subroto Bagchi’s MBA At 16: A Teenager’s Guide To Business presents a business guide for teenage readers. Designed to be a young people’s guide, it unleashes the true picture of the business world. Teenagers who have always been curious to know how a business entity works will find this book quite interesting and informative.

Many of the leading businessmen started their businesses when they were young adults. Steve Jobs met Stephen Wozniak at the age of sixteen and together they produced Apple. The founders of Google, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, were in their early twenties when they met at Stanford. Today’s generation will be tomorrow’s consumers, managers, investors, and entrepreneurs.

These teenagers, who dream of leading a business, are often confronted with various questions. What is the business world all about? How does a business touch lives? What are the key character traits of a successful entrepreneur? How does a company run? This book answers these questions and more.

MBA At 16: A Teenager’s Guide To Business covers various aspects of raising funds from angel investors, venture capitalists, nuances of supply-chain management, difference between the sales and marketing department, importance of advertising, worth of true leadership, and many others. One of the most important features of this book is that all the aspects of fundraising are explained from the point of view of a teenager of Urban India.

Bagchi organized workshops in Bangalore that included select students from National Public School. The aim of these workshops was to figure out what these teenage students wished to know about business. Though the situations and conversations included here are fictional, the characters of the book are drawn from the actual students. Additionally, there are a few imaginary characters such as Fly High, Cyber the Dog and Polar.

MBA At 16: A Teenager’s Guide To Business does not teach how to crack the CAT exam. It does not even inform how one can acquire an MBA degree. On the contrary, it is a book specifically for teenage readers to help them know what goes on in a business entity on a day-to-day basis.

    Simply Amazing...!!!

MBA at 16 is just amazing book. According to me each and every entrepreneur must go for this book at least once. The way author explain the all the business concept with examples are awesome. Not a single page you will find boring. Each and every pages generates eagerness in you what is next concept. It will help only for Businessman and Start Ups. Author can also add some of the more practical example but overall its good and in easy language.

The book is a good guide to the new comers to the world of business.
It explains the various important concepts of this money world very easily.
However, many other concepts remain untouched. Still it proves to be a good booster to the curiosity of a new comer.

    What is Business?

Being a 14 year old, I really enjoyed this book. With a long term aim of becoming a businesswoman, I wanted to know what exactly is business; and this book does exactly that. It takes a teen through the actual world of business without boring him/her. The language is simple, which appeals to us.
Firstly, I was a little apprehensive about buying this book as seeing the title, I assumed it to be a self-help book. But hey, you can never be sure right? The delivery service was amazing as usual (...

Must read for a budding entrepreneur

Great book, especially for the teens.
This book definitely changes your perception on looking at ones "Core-Competency". It also helps you understand a few Bussiness terms like moving up the "Value Chain".

However, I feel "the debate" towards the end should not have remained inconclusive or could have been dealt better.

Travelled in vague direction on a Right path till now.. but in Right direction from now onwards

This book as titled 'MBA At 16' is not only for teenagers of 16 years old but for everyone who wants to know what business is actually all about. I didn't know most of the things that are explained over here by Subroto. Very vividly he wrote and made a mind understand that what is MBA and how big and large enterprises originated. Well written (Y). Do read if you really want to get the knowledge of business and surely before aiming for MBA.
