Measurement & Evaluation In Secondary Schools

The problems of producing standardised achievement tests for secondary school classes are somewhat different from those encountered by the maker of tests for the elementary grades. In the first place, there is not such a well-established core in the high school programme as there is at the elementary level. The msot common areas of study in high school are English, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics.

Professor D. Smith did his gradution from London University with psychology as a subject and moved to Australia. He did his M.Sc. in psychology and his Ph.D. from Australian University, Sydney. He did teaching job in various colleges of Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Smith conducted research in the field of measurement and evaluation for various governmental organisations in Australia.
