About George Dieter
Dr. George Dieter is Professor Emeritus and Glenn L. Martin Institute Professor of Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland. He has also written Engineering Design.
Dr. Dieter completed his Sc.D. at Carnegie-Mellon University. His research interests include: Materials Processing, Engineering Design, Quality Engineering and Engineering Education.

Excellent Book
Since this is an Indian edition edition of the same SI Metric edition, it is available at lesser cost but has exactly the same content, even the page numbers as same.
this book is available at almost half the price of the international Edition of the same book
But the Problem with this book is units are in inches/pounds/tonnes/HP/psi instead of mm/Newtons/kg/Kw/Pa etc especially for numericals and derivations. Hence it may be ...
