Medieval India – Part One, by Satish Chandra, depicts the time period between 1206 and 1526, from Sultanat to the Mughals.
Summary of the Book
This title presents the extensive surveys of the political, economic and social conditions of India during the three and a quarter centuries that was called the Delhi Sultanat. It attempts to bridge the gap between 1206 and 1526 based on comprehensive research and popular perception. The era is observed as a dark phase haunted by war and violent seizures of land, which resulted in very little development.
