Megh (Marathi), written by Ranjeet Desai, is an anthology that depicts different types of issues related to class, ego, hostility and prestige.
Summary Of The Book
Megh (Marathi) is a short story collection written in Desai’s unique style. It was written during Desai’s younger days when he took up writing, while coming from a background that was rural. The stories contain grains of his experiences based on the class divide he witnessed in his life. Desai successfully depicts two entirely different emotions, hatred and love, with ease. His stories emphasize the life of people who have sacrificed their own lives and everything to keep up their prestige. There are also stories that detail the actions and behaviour of selfish people who encroach on the lives of others without any hesitation.
