Iam very exited with this book. Its a classic Microelectronics textbook. The best selling textbook with so many examples and solved problems to understand the concepts well. A book of a life time for all Electrical engineers.As a matter of fact, learning from Sedra might be as tedious or maybe impossible as learning Greek from a Spanish text assuming that you know neither! It starts with bode plots and Op-amps. If you really have no idea about the very basic circuits and circuits' analysis (mesh analysis and node analysis) you will have a big trouble reading this book.The text assumes that... ()

If you are a beginner in electronics, do a favor to yourself, buy it.

I'm a physics student (not an electrical engineer). It is the easiest book in the subject I've seen so far. Of course, I suggest reading basic solid state-electronics part from other books like Simon M. Sze. But when you are done with that, this book takes you through all (not necessarily complete coverage of every topic but the basic idea is presented with utmost clarity) required practical applications. I believe there are enough examples and lots of problems left for the reader.
