Micromax 310G Data Card

i got this 2 days back and comming to product at fist while seeing the pack it is bsnl 3g logo but it is unlocked no need to worry

advantages

1:looks good
2:unlocked
3:automatic setting for any sim card no need of manual settings
4:nice speed(based on network)

dis advantages:

1:length of product is big compared to other data card
2:only in black color
3:the sim slot is little difficult to insert sim
4:we have to slide the sim slot from the neck,not that much strong,while inserting sim we have to take care(this was the main drawback)if the slot broke it is waste of use(think of it)

This product does not support BSNL sim in Win 2000xp. I took it to the service center they said they can't give warranty. I bought this product 15 days back for 1640 now 1225. Very bad product. Please don't buy this item.my rating for this product is zero.

At the price of Rs. 1226.00 the product is too good. I was fed up with photon...they charge too much for a decent speed. But with MMX 310...both price and speed are in my range. Good for students...a must buy. And three cheers for Flipkart...lowest price and fastest delivery.

If you are a Linux user then you must not buy it. The specifications on this website also indicates that it doesn't support Linux but when you will purchase it from the shop you will find System Requirements as - Windows, Mac, Linux Ubuntu 9.10, 10.04. I too bought after seeing that. But actually NO Micromax device supports Linux. When contacted to Customer Care, they sent me a Linux Interface which doesn't run properly OS. It was a kind of 'jugaad' and was a degraded version. On complaining again they finally spoke that the device doesn't supports Linux OS. When I said Why it's written on the cover Box they said that it runs on Linux but by some 'jugaad' like Sakis3g. I Would advice you to go for Huawei E303C. Most of Huawei devices supports Linux.

Well, the review title said it all...Bought it on october, 2009 & very happy with it. All I did is just upgraded the firmware & also downloaded the latest software. My default software did not support the "USSD" function.

The only con is calling feature is not available but most of the dongle users uses different sim for dongle so this would not be a big deal as it's supports "USSD' & "SMS" for balance & data usage inquiry. It supports auto connect, no configuration is needed to connect.

So, all in all a great product...
