Frequently Bought Together With This Mobile
Received this phone 2 days back from flipkart.
First Look:
Ninja 2 look amazingly stunning with a bright screen and wait of phone seems to be less at least when compared to Galaxy Y or HTC explorer.
Pros:
1) HVGA screen which has got 340 X 480 resolution screen (Much sharper Image)
2) Good battery life 1400 MHz battery.
When fully changed I watched 1 fill movie for 2.5 hrs with 25% brightness and downloaded 4 games of 5 MB each. Browsed face book for about 30 min. Played games for 20 min. Still battery last at 16% which is pretty good.
3) Can play HD videos without any lag or issues. Works perfect with 3G and WLAN
Cons:
1) Such a good phone but 800 MHz Processer.
2) RAM 256 MB theoretically. However, when you see exact RAM utilization on phone, it comes to less than 150 MB as most of the RAM is used by Android OS and other stupid pre-installed applications.
3) NOTE : YOU CAN'T PLAY GAMES WHICH ARE MORE THAN 6 MB IN SIZE. Phone doesn't support mid end & high-end games. So if you are game lover plz ignore this phone.
4) Internal memory of the phone is 150 MB. Among 150 MB internal memory, about 50-60 MB is used by pre-installed applications which is not good coz when you try to download any applications it will be stored in internal memory of the phone first.
However, you can move the applications once downloaded to SD card by using "Apps2SD" application. Buthen it will leave a foot print in internal memory of the phone which will occupy some space.
5) No GPU
Overall it’s a good phone for the prize you pay. If your budget is up to 6K you can prefer this phone.
I just recieved the phone few hours ago... and I just cant keep my hands off it... Its beautiful...
@Flipkart: As always Awesome service!!!
Everything about the phone is brilliant except the camera, which actually sucks! However, I had used micromax A60 before so I anticipated this... I dont care about the camera as I own a Nikon coolpix L810, which again I bought from flipkart....
Now for a phone of just Rs. 6000/-
here are the
Pros:
1) Large Screen and brilliant display,
2) Decent Processor,
3) Great Touch sensitivity,
4) Ergonomic and Sleek design,
5) Back cover has 3 colour option (Bluish-black, yellow, red) to personalize, (May not be mention here but its in the box!)
6) AISHA! she is really good...
7) Android 2.3.5 (feels good to use), its not upgradable, expecting this ICS update from Rs. 6000/- phone is like expecting sunny leone to be virgin!
Cons:
1) Camera not good... Day light is average but low light is worse!
2) Battery life... (Havent actaully stress tested it but as of now it draining pretty quickly),
3) Very very low quality earphones bundled with the pack! In market you may get the same earphone for Rs. 25 - 40/-
Since did not need a camera and already own a awesome phillips headphones (which again I bought from flipkart) , I will give it a FIVE STAR!
Clearly, Micromax is taking on Galaxy Y with this one. Galaxy Y is the only phone that could beat this one, but that too only if the users still believe that Micromax is still the same company that it was 3 years back. They are going really aggressively taking on the giants in the market, and this product is a demonstration of that intent. I'd like to see more reviews by the people who are using this phone rather than prejudice idiots!
I'm using the Galaxy Y right now, and to be really honest it is a nice phone but only due to its price, handles normally, nothing too good to brag about Samsung against Micromax (with this product now in the market). After seeing this baby all I would say is that Samsung's Galaxy Y is now 2nd in the race!!
This is an awesome phone for budget android users. An all-rounder from micromax compared to A52 and A45 which lack features such as HVGA resolution and 3G respectively. The phone has a adreno 200 gpu(confirmed using quadrant) which is not available in samsung galaxy y but on the micromax A56 playing angry birds, fruit ninja, racing moto, death racing etc. is a breeze. The touch screen is super responsive at 3.5 inch running at HVGA resolution (320x480) and supports multi-touch (pinch to zoom) due to which document viewing is a breeze. High-end features such as wi-fi hotspot and G-sensor(for gaming)are available. Nobody except micromax can acheive this.
Coming to the downsides, you will notice that the battery doesn't perform well but will last a day if you keep switching off wi-fi and GPS and reduce brightness when not required.
The RAM is 256 MB as mentioned on paper but around 165 MB is avalable of which 40-50 MB is always free but sufficient enough for all activities.
The internal memory is 138 MB free initially (on my phone) which is not bad and many apps can be moved to sd card using app2sd.
The camera is dissapointing even though it is 3MP and can be used for close-up shots in well-lit environments only. The video recording on the stock app is around 17 fps in 3GP format.
Even though the hardware is good it can't play 720p movies without audio lag, but plays 480p movies very well which is enough at this price range.
Overall it is an excellent buy for budget android people who want decent gaming at this price range.
Purhcased A56 in the second week of July'12. The following is my observations on the same:-
i) Very poor quality of camera esp. for indoor clicks (I wonder if it is 3MP really?).
ii) Touch WAS nice.
iii) Battery is draining like anything - (again I doubt as if it is 1400mAh??).
The best part of it, i.e., nice touch did not remain nice for more than one month even and stopped responding. Now, the Ninja is with service centre for the last 15 days for replacement of touchscreen. They say that spare is not available and I will have to wait. Another thing I came across during this trauma is that Micromax Service Centres are third class. Even for a small thing, you will have to wait for around one to two hours and then deposit your phone for repair. Nothing is available in Service Centres and phones are sent in the Company only. Service centres are collection centres only. Micromax needs to improve on this and reduce the repair time. I am without phone for the last more than 15 days.
Nice phone, smooth n responsive...........
But not meant for extensive gaming, of course.
