IN THIS RANGE BETTER GO FOR SAMSUNG AND NOKIA..NOW MY PHONE S BATTERY BACKUP IS AROUND 1HR..AND I BOUGHT IT 3 DAYS AGO...SO DONT GO FOR THIS PRODUCT..I M REQUESTING TO MICROMAX THAT DONT PUT CAMERA,VIDEOPLAYER,WAP, IN 999 PRODUCT..BETTER U CAN GIVE LIMITED NUMBER OF FEATURES WITH PERFECTION..NO ONE GOING TO SEE A VIDEO IN A 1.77 INCH SCREEN..SO THERE IS NO USE OF THIS TYPE OF FEATURES...

I purchased this phone for my family just before Diwali and read the review from Flipkart. One thing that was poking me was the battery but still I went ahead and placed the order. Got the phone delivered in 3 days. Kudos to Flipkart. Feedback on the phone battery is just awesome. On a moderate phone calls it is withstanding for 3 days. Looked at other features.

1. Camera: Just the best one in this class
2. Battery: On a moderate phone usage with calls and navigation to explore the phone, it came upto 3 hrs
3. Display: Bright enough to read the display on sunlight. It has shortcuts to 4-5 options that are customizable. But one bad thing is that you can't keep your loved one's pic on display as you have lot of clutter over the screensaver.
4. Handy & style: For a basic phone, you can find this just nice. You can easily hold this phone in hand. But when you keep it in pocket, you need to little cautious as this may slip off due to its height
5. FM & Music Player: JUST AWESOME with FM recording
6. Keypad: Fully covered and smooth to handle. No hard pressing required
7. Flashlight: Bright enough even during day time under CFL/TL

At last, you can't get anything better for this cost. So, am ordering one more for myself ;-)

Merits:

*call blocking facilities
*speedy menu swap. much faster than any other phone
*equalisers(about 7or8) for music player(regular & classis is good to hear in loudspeaker, rock s good in haedset)
*one touch shortcut for music player
*shortcut widget in home screen, can choose our wish
*good design including keypad(rubber) which will not be damaged easily.
*very handy (design is similar to sony ericson cedar/nokia x2-02 i mean curvy backside)
*processor is good in speed
*availability of directly shifting to next message (no need to go back for seeing next message)
* * and # key for increasing and decreasing volume
*charger type - usb as well as plug source
*battery backup 3 days on normal use with minimal music use
*voice recorder, video recorder avail and fm radio (wired , not wireless)
*GPRS speed is good enough for this range of mobile,it works good
*LED flash light is good (shortcut - long press 0 key)
*music player has visualization option
* almoost 3 times it s thrown by a baby in my home, but no damage to the phone

Demerits:

*camera picture clarity(cant expect more than tis for this range mobile)
*small screen but adjustable
*poor headset design, could not fit in your ears properly on moving or walking and not a 3.5mm jack
*same port for charging and headset
*completely weightless, feeling like holding a paper in hand.
*display clarity is similar to motorolla basic models and icons r too basic but not like chinese mobiles, so its ok.
*zero phone memory, must have memory card for any memory base purpose
*creates some folder and temp files on using music palyer, video play, camera. and it is vissible, may irritate u
*other mobile users wuill find difficulty in handling keys on first use on it.
*sound clarity is not much better.

i love this phone!!initially i bought it as a temporary phone & intended to give it to my sister after i had bought something better.but i don't think she would be getting it anytime soon...this cost me 999 but it gives features like a nokia or samsung would at 2500
Pros:(too many to write)
1.battery life is awesome.lasts about 4 days for me.i make calls adding upto 2 hours daily & listen to music for another 2 hours or so.
2.it has loads & loads of features which i helps me a lot(specially the torch is my hero!!although not so bright but definitely very helpful)
3.the expandable memory is another boon.i can store many many songs
4.calls are very very clear(although some people think otherwise,i don't know why)
5.it has USB CHARGING!! OMG!!how many low cost phones have that!!honestly i rarely use the charging plug.mostly its connected to my laptop & the job's done.
6.the look & design of the phone are also good enough

Cons:(although they don't make a difference to me)
1.the earphones are not that good but they suffice(though at such a low cost i really should not complain.)
2.charging cable is kinda short(not that it makes a difference to me)
3.the edges of the phone are kinda sharp & they hurt my ears a little while talking(not that it matters much either)

All in all its one heck of a product by micromax. micromax really is 'nothing like anything'.i love u guys!!its a definite buy for anyone looking for a secondary/low cost phone.
