Microsoft Wired Controller for Windows

Bought this as a gift for a friend.. I've had an Xbox for years now. And I must say I love the both wired and wireless controllers by Microsoft. And I think the color black looks cooler.

The wired controller's cord is really long. Enough for you sit back and relax on your couch if you a giant HD TV and dont want to increase the number on your glasses like me, due to hours of blink-less gaming.

If you compare it with a playstation controller, this one seems better. Especially, the LT and RT buttons. Yeah, they may be noisier than the other buttons, but they are the best considering their placement. And the clickety noise is sometimes a must to know that your buttons are working :P
The left thumbstick is the best thing ever, if you were annoyed by the lower placement of the left thumbstick of the Playstation. Anyone who started with an Xbox, will find it difficult to get back to a playstation.
Alright. Enough with the Playstation bashing.

PC compatibility is great, so I don't need to buy another gamepad just to play games on my PC without the keyboard. I would recommend everyone to play with this gamepad instead of a keyboard cos, frankly, there are way too many keys on a keyboard, and if you have large fingers, they might get into your way, and you might simply do a friendly fire which is not tolerated.

Talking about flipkart.
Flipkart was lightening fast when I ordered this product. I ordered at 12:25pm on Jan 06, and boom! Jan 07 12:00pm, it got delivered. Seriously, do you guys have a teleportation device or something.

Anyway, 5 stars for the product.And 5 stars for Flipkart.

This controller for PC is good to play most games and its very easy to use and your hands don't get tired or awkward thanks to its ergonomic design.

I did not buy it on flipkart though, got a white one from ebay for 1550. Cheaper here on flipkart....And quicker delivery I guess

Don't go for the cheap controllers if you are gaming for more than an hour every day or you may end up getting injured (its quite serious, ergonomic injuries)....

Its not very good for FPS games, or racing games. Others games its too good to play with (fifa, SF4, etc)

This is the best controller for experiencing console-like experience on your pc. The difference you feel while playing the games is notable. And you can go on for 3-5 hrs without feeling tired as it is very ergonomic and very comfortable. Also the vibration feedback is amazing and adds a new dimension to your gaming experience. It works the best on all new games(XInput) and aslo works on old games but the triggers wont work properly as in XInput Mode, they are treated as Z-axis and not as buttons. I've played Resident Evil 5, Fifa 11, X-men Origins: Wolverine, Blur and it was absolutely thrilling. If you have a hdtv at home, then this gamepad will make your day. You might feel that the wires will get in your way but its 9-foot in length!!! Here are the pros(many) and cons(very few) of this amazing gamepad :

1) Very responsive triggers and analog sticks.
2) Genuine Vibration Feedback.
3) Very Ergonomic so no worries about continuous plaing!!!
4) Tailor-made for all new games so no hassles of control mapping.
5) And the best choice for X-box fans and also a good start for ps2/ps3 console type gamepad players(Like me).

-> Cons:
1) Pressure(L & R) triggers wont work properly on old gamees.
2) Yet to find more cons......

All in all, this is the best gamepad I've used until now. And thanks to Flipkart for their fast delivery( Ordered on 31st dec 2011 and got it on 2nd jan 2012..) and the packaging was nice. I Quote:

Ordered this gamepad 2 days earlier & the expected date of delivery was mentioned as Dec 5th! But voila, guess what? I received it today afternoon itself!!! Brilliant packaging, with bubble wrap sheet & great kudos to their speedy delivery!!!
Just played NFS Run & NFS Shift with it! When you hold it you would come to know that its definitely a genuine piece! The plastic feels so good! Its ergonomically designed, hence no fatigue even after 3 hours of continuous gaming! The feedback is just awesome & the great part is that I can connect this to my Xbox & PC too! Nothing comes close to this for the price its been offered! Go ahead and but it! Its worth every penny!! Thank you Flipkart!

I am not an expert gamer but after a long day at work I do enjoy wiping out some Locust forces (was playing Gears of War-a third person shooter game).

*Build Quality is better than any PC remote i have seen or played with and also PS2 Sony remotes. It's better designed ergonomically but I don't play for more than an hour so i cant judge that..but no wrist/finger/palm pains so far ..didn't face any pain with PS2 remote either which ..thanks to "God of War"..was used for much longer hours.

I don't regret not buying the wireless one as the wire with this one is long enough(around 9 ft) for distant playing.If you go further away you cant make out who you are shooting at..plus no battery hassles.

When I switched to this remote from keyboard and mouse, the experience was quite frustrating. I was already in the middle of the game and was finding it hard to target the fast moving foes.
But then I started from level 1,took things slow and now I play the game as bad as I used to play with Keyboard and mouse but you get a much better feel of pressing the trigger which is priceless.
