Microsoft WMM 1000 Wireless Optical Mouse

I ordered this as a replacement for my MS Compact Optical Mouse 500.

The piece I received had some problem with clicks as it kept making multiple clicks when I made only one. I contacted Flipkart and they agreed to send me a replacement.

The mouse has a segmented scroll wheel - that is, it's not completely free to rotate as in most Logitech mice - but you can feel the "clicks" (not audible) as you rotate it. This is very important to me because having a completely free scroll wheel makes it very difficult to precisely change a weapon in a game and make middle clicks (because it scrolls a bit as you try to click it).

The mouse has a switch underneath to turn it off when not using it to conserve battery power. It also has a place to store the USB receiver (which is tiny) inside the battery compartment.

I have been using this for 3 months now and it works well on all the surfaces I have used it on, including wood and bedsheet!

It's comfortable enough and the size is just right. People who are used to large size mice might have a problem with the size, but this is not a mini mouse. If you are looking for a bigger mouse, I suggest the logitech M235, but in all other aspects this one is a really good mouse.

Ordered the product on 8th Aug, Got the delivery on 10th Aug. As usual delivery and packing is excellent - though I think the Invoice can be placed in the packet in a better manner :).

Tried the mouse - it's a simple Plug and Play device no device drivers and all stuff. Super lightweight and comfortable one and we have the Microsoft Brand with 3 years warranty. Not sure about battery life though as of now.

This mouse is an excellent product and is sold at the best price @Flipkart. Light weight, rich color quotient and easy grip are its best features plus the need for only 1 AA battery and the nano USB socket inside makes it one hell of a mouse. Definitely recommendable.

What makes Flipkart stand out from others is its excellent service. Their team is doing a great job right from the order to its delivery. Disclaimer - I bought this wireless mouse for a very specific purpose - that of controlling our laptop when we're playing movies from there on our home theater setup. We don't use the mouse for day to day "mousing around" :).

I'm one of those who likes to keep up with movies on weekends/ free days, and download tons of movies. To play those back, I just connect the VGA output of my laptop to the LCD TV, and the audio output to the home theater system. All well so far. Except that to pause or forward the movie involved getting up and walking to the laptop, and using the built in mouse. After a few months of suffering through that, realized that perhaps a wireless mouse might help us here.

Quickly ordered the Microsoft mouse (I use a microsoft natural keyboard and a wired microsoft mouse at work - and love the quality there, so there was no hesitation in choosing the MS mouse) from flipkart - delivered on schedule. Fast forward to our next movie session, plugged in the USB dongle, and the mouse started working straight away (both laptops at home run Win 7). Very easy to use, and works find on any color bedsheet as well!

Definitely recommend the product. The only improvement that I can think of - that there was a way to store the dongle without opening up the batter compartment!
