Worth it..
It comes at 14k from flipkart..now that's quite a discount. No other console would come at this price and hey you can play any game you want (exception being the sony productions). Yes PS2 is cheaper but many of the games cannot be played there. The 4GB console is a worth buy when compared to the 250 GB one as so much memory is quite enough to save games. Well, the console has 5 USB ports and each can support upto 16 GB flash drives which is more than enough for saving. If you need more memory, you can purchase the additional hard drive from xbox which would not cost much as the 250 GB console. With amazing looks of the console and the artistic controller it goes one level up...
So guys...wanna buy a console, go for the 4GB xbox...

here is a quick short review,
Xbox 360 S 4GB is cheapest proper gaming console. it lacks hard disk, multiplayer gaming service xlive service is not free, but still i think its a better 'gaming console' than PS3.
compared to PS3,
pros:
1. cheaper than PS3 160GB by Rs.2000/-
2. controllers can be used with PC
3. supports VGA HD cable to play on old monitors
4. Xlive is fun :D
5. dedicated kinect port and more USB slots [compared to 2 in ps3 slim]
6. overall build quality is impressive, its lighter, smaller, has touch senstive buttons, looks good, as compared to PS3 slim
cons:
1. Lacks good storage [only 4GB flash memory, it does support USB pendrives to store, game content, save games, etc. but u can't install games on it]
2. some official accessories are overpriced, like VGA HD cable, 250GB hard disk [costs 5000/- ], kinect [costs around 10k], DVD drive for 5k
3. uses proprietary hard drive, and cannot be replaced by standard laptop hard drive [hacks are possible for WD scorpio blue]
4. controller uses standart AA cells, and not inbuilt Li-ion battery like ps3 dual shock 3
5. lacks bluray and xlive costs Rs.2.5k per year
6. uses external power brick.

Great Machine.Go for it.
This product is one kick a** piece of machinery for any person who is looking for any sort of gaming experience.Wouldnt trade mine for anything.
Also the Red Ring of death seems to be ancient news now,so no worries there.
The Kinect ready feature n built in WIFI are an extra bonus which is bound to create a fun environment for people with lots of visitors.
The price provided according to me is quite decent,but personally am yet to have a completely fulfilling experience through internet shopping,Flipkart seems to have done good with the COD facility.(but i guess ill wait until the diwali ,hoping for some wonderful offers.come on Flipkart, surprise us.)

Xbox Kinect
The Kinect, in India, is pale shadow of the capabilities/features shown at the time of launch (video available on youtube). The motion sensor can be used only for gaming whereas in the launch video MS has exhibited some amazing out of the box features like controling movies through using voice recognition and navigating a movie using hand gestures (completely remoteless entertainment). The MS Zune too is not available in India. The membership to Xbox Live will cost you another Rs. 3500 per annum (not too high cost given the strong benefits). However, please read the fine print for Xbox Live, it online gaming may require access to very high speed internet connection (only a dream for India consumers) and downloading or streaming a movie definitiely requires high speed connection. All in all, fantastic technology for gaming despite kiddish graphics for most Kinect games and expensive games (starting around Rs. 2000 per game disc) but the most annoying part is the lack of voice recognition and other features exhibited during the E3 launch show.

Well, i recently bought this console through flipkart, my 8th purchase from the store!
I reserched well before buying this 4gb model.
Xbox and PS3 cannot are both good in their own domain
Compare it with the number of titles, Human Interface (kinect or Move) or GPUs,Blue Ray, Wi-fi enablement each console has their own pros and cons
In case you are an avid gamer, would recommend you to buy both the consoles!
A big screen is though very important (minimum would be a 32 inch LCD/LED) to let you enjoy the the most and bring the best in you.
I m big Sony fan but could not help myself without the statement
"the experience in playing Xbox with Kinect is a real treat and very sinful" just like vanilla ice-cream with loads of chocolate sauce
