
In this volume, the emphasis is on the concepts and methods of intervention- the things clinicians do to help people in psychological distress. Broadly, these falls into three major groups defined by three parts of book: gaining an understanding of the patient and his problem; effecting desired changes in individual personality and psychological functioning; altering some of the social determinants of human problem.
