Book: Molecular Biology MOLECULAR BIOLOGY (Principles and Practices) introduces undergraduates, postgraduates as well as research students of biotechnology to basic experimental molecular biology laboratory techniques. Emphasis has been given to techniques encountered in practical classes with the principles and theories behind this explained in detail. No contemporary book on Practical Molecular Biology would be complete without chapters on Bio-Safety, Laboratory Set-up, Molecular Biology Calculations and Glossary. These topics have been extensively covered in this book. This is essential reading for all biosciences students, biotechnology and preclinical medical students for whom practical molecular biology forms part of the syllabus.

About Author :
Dr. Priyanka Siwach is a budding molecular biologist having published many research papers, review articles on plant biotechnology and molecular biology in various Indian and foreign journals. She obtained her Master's degree in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology in the year 1998 and Ph.D. in the same subject in 2001 from Ch. Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. She was awarded "Silver Jubilee Gold Medal for Women Scientist" for the year 2001 for her eminent research work in Ph.D. programme. She has been teaching as Lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology, Guru Jambheshewar University, Hisar since 2001. During her teaching career of nearly six years, she has guided a large number of research students in their M.Sc. dissertation, six M. Phil. students and two Ph. D. students. Dr. Priyanka has earned one major research proposal as Principal Investigator and another as Co-Principal Investigator from UGC during this short span of nearly six years. She has participated in many national and international conferences and has also delivered lectures at many degree colleges. At present she is on deputation in Ch. Devi Lal University, Sirsa.
Dr. Namita Singh is a senior Lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology at Guru Jambheshewar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Haryana.
