Morphy Richards Wave 300 Iron

I bought this product sometime back because I have not received the link to make a review earlier. This was my first experience with Flipkart and it was great. The delivery was as expected.
But the Morphy Richargs Iron was not good as expected. The water intlet hole is too small and it takes lots of efforts to put the water in the iron container. It does not iron properly. Whenever I have used it to iron my clothes, it seems I clothes are not ironed properly. Whenever I start ironing the clothes I’ve to switch off the water outlet knob otherwise the water will start running heavily. I started using the iron after 2-3 months otherwise I would have sent the product back. And now I’m not at using this iron..
At last the delivery & timeline of Flipkart is awesome but the product is far below the expectation.

This product didn't impress me when out of the box,then i plugged it in,the led didn't turn on and the sole plate was cold.I just thought that i have made a wrong choice and planned of returning the product to flipkart but then i accidentally rotated the thermostatic control,Eureka!!! the led indicator was on. I wasn't aware that the iron gets turned on by rotating the thermo control. This average looking iron surprised me with its build quality and performance,just 10 seconds the sole was hot. The spray and steam works great,the 360 cord gives the feel of a cordless iron. Buying this product especially from flipkart make s it a good value for money,i came to know this when i visited the Morphy's official website.It is a good iron for personal use.

Morphy Richards is known to make ugly looking "awesome" devices, so after a round of reviews for iron boxes, I went ahead with this one.

I used this for about a month but never had the feel good feeling. It is a on the bulkier, uglier side on its appearance, again not my criteria for rejection.

So for those of you who hate cheap iron boxes having sticky sole-plates, Wave 300 takes you through the same "I hate it" feeling.

It is mentioned that it has a non-stick sole plate but it isn't.

So, what did I do? Called Flipkart today and they are taking back the box.
I don't want the same item, I'd now rather go for a Philips Iron box paying a few hundred more.

By the way, I gave 5'ers to the customer service representative who took the call !

Just experienced the 'flip'side of online shopping with this product. So, I had bought this product after reading the good reviews on the site. In terms of delivery, flipkart's service was spot on with the product being delivered within 2 days. The product worked well for the first month. Then, in the second month, it broke down and stopped working. Given that the return policy is for 1 month, couldn't return it to flipkart. Took it to the local dealer, who said that they would have repaired it if it had been bought from them and advised that I contact Morphy Richards customer service directly. He also said that the product is poor quality. Reaching Morphy Richards customer service was painful, and took 3 weeks to get the product repaired. Overall, not a good experience.

It took me 2 days to decide which one to buy..should i go for basic iron or a steam iron & of which brand?Then finally decided to this orange colored Morphy Richards.since bajaj & philips have become so common,i wanted to have a different but high in class brand.I must say i m fully satisfied with its looks & performance.
