The rubberised backside of this Motorola phone is meant for a more luxurious feel in hand.

I am only writing this review to clear all the doubts so you dont run away from a super awesome phone.
I ordered it from flipkart itself. One of the first ones to have it :)
1.> It feels great in my hands.Grip is awesome!
2.> Camera Quality is not top notch(like SE).But still good.
3.> Moto UI .. I changed it.Very easy in android.
4.> Fast - 1 GB RAM , 1 Ghz Dual Core - Wow!
5.> 4.3 Inch Touch screen.Makes reading books and playing games a sheer pleasure.
6.> Headphones are included and they have amazing bass.
7.> Battery life is good.Easily lasts more than 1 day with moderate usage on 2G.
8. Heck..its a 4G phone.Invest in future.
9.> Gorilla Glass.
10.> HDMI port 3:)
11.> LED Notifications..they make life easier.
12.> ICS in Q3 2012.
Things I knew I wouldn't like :
1.> Service - Samsung wins hands down.Moto is no where near. But I m just hoping that it wont require service.Feels solid.
Now the things that I don't like :
1.> Short length of charger cable.
I am a very lazy person and you can guess how much happy I am with this phone that I specially took the effort of writing this detailed review.
So if your fingers don't tremble while customizing the phone a little bit and you know that its not in the brand value but what's beneath the hood , then grab it
else wait for shiny Sony's and bland Samsung's.
5 stars for me :)

Got the phone 2 weeks back from flipkart. I had been using the Samsung Galaxy S2 and LG Optimus 2x before this. Following are my observations when compared to S2.
Pros/Likes when compared to S2
1. Solid construction - The plasticky feel of S2 is something that has been debated over and over again by many people. My problem with S2 was mainly not with the feel, but with the extra thin waist which made you feel as if you'd drop the phone anytime while using it. The Atrix 2 on the other hand is a very solid phone and you'd feel the difference in construction immediately when you hold it.
2. The touchwiz UI is probably only my third preferred Android custom UI. Sense (though a resource hog) is the best and now I feel the Motoblur used in A2 is much better than Touchwiz in S2. You could feel the difference in implementation of the UI vis-a-vis the touchwiz UI especially if you are a business user and the customizations are neatly done and is not overboard. I especially like the features such as universal inbox and account management.
3. Notification LED - This is something that I've missed since the HTC Legend days and a really good feature to have.
4. Battery life - I easily breeze through the working day with 60% battery left with moderate use (2G only) with the phone. With S2 the battery would struggle through the day and I mostly had to carry my charging cable with me. With minimal use I have got the A2's battery to last 1.5 days which is very impressive for an android phone.
5. Camera shutter key - This again should be a part of every smartphone that gets released and is a good feature on the A2. One cannot launch the camera by just pressing the key though which would have been even better. The key is a bit hard to press also but I think it'd get better with use.
Cons
1. Performance - The A2 fares well during overall use, but the S2 absolutely gobbles it up in terms of pure performance. There are no lags experienced during general use but you'd feel the slight pinch while playing games when compared to S2. Games such as ShineRunner is a breeze for S2 and A2 performs adequately well with it. In addition to that A2 comes with 10 downloadable EA games which is good if you are a gaming enthusiast. In terms of pure benchmarks, I had got about 3.8k with S2 (with ICS) while the A2 scores around 2.1k with quadrant.
2. Screen quality - The S2 with its deep blacks and vibrant colors is a treat to watch and you'd notice the difference when you look at any other mobile screens. However if you want more natural colors and better screen resolution then the A2 is a very good proposition. The viewing angles are good and the sunlight readability is decent.
3. Camera - The A2's camera is good for your occasional photos and videos and for pics for uploading to Facebook. However you could see a lot of noise in pics even taken under good sunlight. In terms of camera quality I feel that the S2 is better than A2.
Overall its a very good phone to buy and is a true value for money product. Also thanks to Flipkart for the prompt delivery and for their support.
Hello Flipkart users...Motorola Atrix 2 is a very good phone....Still I want you to read this....
Motorola has stopped its operations in majority of Asia Pacific including India as part of a major restructuring plan put forward by the new Motorola Mobility CEO
Mr. Dennis Woodside.
I am wondering, why Flipkart raised the price from Rs 17299 to Rs 18500 at this point of time when Motorola has officially released a statement that they are leaving India.
Even though they stopped sales here they say the after sale support will continue well into the future, which we will have to wait and see as the support offered by Motorola is already criticized by many.
You can check the site of Motorola for India and other tech sites/blogs if you have any doubt regarding what I have given above. I am still wondering why Motorola is leaving one of the fastest growing mobile phone market in the world.
Even after confirming that Motorola is leaving India if you think that you can't live without this smart phone....Go for it...and ...Grab it quickly...coz the stock wont last for long..
I am a proud user of Motorola SLVR L7i for the last 5 years and still use it. I am sad that they are leaving...
Thank You...........
hey guys!
i got this phone from kolkata, about a week ago. I have been using this phone as my main device since then.
Positives : No lag whatsoever (however sometimes while surfing through the pages there is a mild yet ignorable disturbance) ; Support a lot of video formats so watching movies not an issue; superb build quality; screen resolution is very impressive; notification LED (small green light) to show u have unread msgs; smooth call handling ( nice crisp voice quality) ; dedicated camera button ; AND finally, DUAL core processor making life easy by smooth browsing.
Negative : Device does get heated up while browsing for a long period of time; Charger length a little short; only support HD videos (any format though); speaking of battery life to b very honest i dn think it is extraordinary but yes its better than some other android devices
Advices : Guys all in all this phone is a good buy bcz none of the devices are perfect and the biggest advantage of this device is its PRICE !!
So dn worry about MOTOROLA or MOTOBLUR.. this time Moto has done quite a feat of impressing us.
cheers!!
