its not ovrpriced
the processor is a i5 4200H with overclocked speed upto 3.4 ghz....
n theres more... 4200h is a processor with great benchmark.. go search for other lapeez... n u ill find a i5 4210U.... trust me its the worst of i5 processor.... i have searched 4 many lapeez... n all i found ws 'U' processors. i5 4200h can outperform i7 U processors
check for the benchmarks of a processor model.... before u compare...
GT840M is a midrange graphic card... still it can play BF4...

Decent Gaming Mid-level laptop........Not Great....but Not Bad either
Decent for mid-level gaming on lesser graphics intensive games
Even if if there is no backlit keyboard........who the heck whud game on a laptop keyboard
You cud just buy a razor keyboard or a steel series keyboard
A bit of a waste....for the graphics card.....as 840m ..not much of an improvement to the 740m

your Asus 550LD has inferior processor clock speed , inferior display , inferior gpu , less battery backup, offer free dos to cut cost whereas msi has windows 8.1 .msi gp60 offers killer lan and steel series keyboard.
indeed msi gp60 has 4gb ram but u can buy ram stick and increase ram (till 16 gb max ).
msi gp60 comes with 2 year onsite warranty whereas asus has 1 year onsite warranty.

NFS Rivals - 25-40 fps medium settings 1366*768 res
tomb raider 2013- 30fps medium to high settings
UT 2007- 50fps ultra high settings
LOL- 40-120 fps high settings
these are my settings so you can get little more than that with this laptop.
for sane price i7 with GT840M is available
or you can go ...
