GRACE VEALE MITTS graduated mid-twentieth century from Canadian Northwest Bible Institute (now Vanguard College) in Edmonton, Alberta. A number of ensuing years were spent in Christian missions among the First Nations Slavey Dene of Canada's Northwest Territories. A composer/lyric-writer ... and piano teacher for close to four decades, the author has enjoyed contributing locally to church music ministry. She was earlier privileged to provide Hay River's celebrated NWT Centennial Choir with musical support during (1970) commemorative performance tours. The author has served on mission hospital and seniors' care facility governing boards and assisted in the establishment of a localfeed-the-hungry initiative. Inspirational writing and the creative arts are among her personal passions. The author and her husband have three adult daughters and continue to live in the Great Slave Lake south shore community of Hay River.
