Educated at the Benars Hindu University Dr. N. Sharda Iyer is the Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of English at Vasanta College for Women, Krishnamurti Foundation India, Rajghat, Varansi. Her area of interest includes Indian English Literature, British, American and Indian English Literature, Apart from the present volume on Poetry, Which is a sequal to Musings on Indian Writing in English, Vol.I (Fiction) her frothcoming books are (1) Doris Lessing: A Study in Themes, (2) Moral Vision of William Golding (3) V.S. Naipual: A Study (4) Musings on Indian Writing in English Vo. III (Drama). Many of her research papers have been published in books, journals, magazines and articles in newspapers.
