Muslim personal law has been time and again challenged evenin the Muslim countries. Recently division bench of the Bangladesh High Courtruled that utterance of the word talaq or divorce three times in one sitting bythe an estranged Muslim husband would not constitute a valid and legallypermissible divorce. Similar has been the experience with regard to inheritance,guardianship, family rights and other marital aspects. The aim of this book is topresent before the reader the changing position of law with regard of Muslimwomen in proper perspective.
