Kurtz from tenant farmer to leader of the Southern Baptist movement in Ohio to the quiet ministry and mission work of his retirement. Quiet retirement, that is until he gets on stage with his "partner" in mission work, the Great Professor Since retirement, John has provided Christian entertainment and spiritual messages to thousands as he continues his mission work for youth, adult and senior groups in churches throughout the southeast. One has only to join him for one of his presentations and witness the laughter and joy that he shares with his audience to know the power of his message of salvation through Jesus Christ. John lives in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee with his wife, Martha Gene. Together, they continue their work for the Lord; Martha Gene through her musical ministry, and John, through his work with Pioneer Missions, Inc.
