My Week With Marilyn is a British drama that depicts the film shooting of the 1957 film The Prince and the Showgirl. This week in the life of Marilyn Monroe is based on a book by Colin Clark who actually got to spend a week observing the blonde bombshell. My Week With Marilyn is directed by Simon Curtis while the screenplay was written by Adrian Hodges. This telling movie stars the lovely Michelle Williams as the vivacious Marilyn Monroe and Eddie Redmayne as Colin Clark in the lead while Julia Ormond, Kenneth Branagh and Pip Torrens play supporting roles. Sir Oliver struggles to meet Marilyn's many demands and gets angry when she comes late for rehearsals and reading sessions. Marilyn Monroe has a fight with her husband, who returns to the United States leaving her to finish her film schedule. Alone, Marilyn invites Colin into her crazy world where she battles with her inner demons that arises from her being so famous and beautiful.
