Nagaram: Sirukathaigal by Sujatha, true to its name, is a book that features a compilation of short stories written by the popular Tamil writer. The book features fourteen stories in Tamil that have been selected from weekly publications such as Kungumam, Dhinamani Kadhir, and other magazines from the early 70s.
Sujatha is the pen name of S. Rangarajan, a popular Tamil writer. He was born on May 3, 1935, in Srirangam, Tamil Nadu. He was a qualified engineer and introduced many technological innovations such as Silicon Chip Writing. Sujatha was a very popular writer and his stories in weeklies like Kumudam and Ananda Vikatan were read and appreciated by a wide base of readers. He also served as an Editor for Kumudam. He wrote screenplays and dialogues for many Tamil films during his time, and collaborated with top professionals in the field like Mani Ratnam and Kamal Hassan. Sujatha has written other popular books like Vairangal, Meendum Jeano, Katrathum Petrathum, Kolaiyuthir Kalam, Raththam Ore Niram, and Eppothum Penn. He died on February 27, 2008.

My first read of sujathaI was surprised by how sweet a story could be. it has the right twists and turns and holds your attention till the last word.

Typical Sujatha styleWonderful short stories by Sujatha. The narration was so beautiful. The readers will definitely feel his aesthetic sense. His writings will stay forever!!!.

NOT A GREAT BOOKAll Stories are irrelevant to each other with no endings... i thought this will be a thirller, but it turns out to be a 14 irrelavant stories...so it does't wat i have expected....

This book is worthI have not read the complete book, by reading few short stories I am thrilled with the twists and turns of the stories and moreover its a must that you should have in your collection and you wont regret it. Its worth a buy. " WE MISS YOU SUJATHA "

about the bookI am a big fan of sujatha's writings and i found no time to buy books from the shops :( now i got this book thru flipkart and completed reading the book :) With all classic stuffs the book is a collection of short stories which were been published in various magazines. Each story is of different genre and makes you feel afresh while you switch on to next story. Its a must read book for serious followers of Sujatha's writings!!

NAGARAMThis short story collection is highly worth. Particularly the nagaram short story. Excellent narration. Sujatha sir touches both the extremes of society in his own way of writing. touching end. Only its possible him to do it.
