
The free trade and commerce available through website in whatis known as cyber space has also given birth to a mobile population where intentmay be basically criminal. There is,therefore, the eternal question of intellectual copyright and the policing ofvast cyber space to protect and maintain what mankind can truly achieve.Consequently the TRAI Act 1997 has been enacted by the Indian parliament toprovide for the establishment of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) to regulate the telecommunication services and for matters connectedtherewith are incidental thereto. TRAI is empowered to fix/revise tariff forvarious telecom services provided in Indiaand service providers including the Department service provisions have toimplement the tariffs, notified by the TRAI as per provisions of law. This bookdeals with various aspects of this law and laws other countries have formulatedto tackle the phenomenon of cyber crime.
