Need For Speed : Shift

Many people dislike the game because the cars are way too realistically simulated. In all the previous nfs titles after Porsche Unleashed (my favourite), you blast into a corner without braking, pressing the side keys madly and the car simply turns with a drift. that is simply stupid. real cars dont do that. I had quite missed the realistic handling of cars in Porsche Unleashed until Shift came along.

Only trouble is that the developers have made the cars a bit too difficult to handle. it takes some time to get used to the extremely fidgety handling. but then, you can take that as a challenge and soldier on, or simply quit and blame the game. 4 stars for the game. (i'll rate only NFS-PU with 5 stars :) )

The delivery by Flipkart was as usual prompt. I bought the game when it cost rs 440. i was one of those people who was quite unhappy to see the slashed prices. :P

go for it, but mind you, if you like the fool's paradise created by previous nfs titles, stay away..

Don't get fooled by the bunch of good for nothing so called 'gamers' who play their silly NFS MW or NFS HP say.. They, with their absolutely no sense of real life racing are simply blown NFS Shift's game engine. They can't keep the car on the tarmac and simply complain that the game is shitty and all.. They cannot come first or reduce the lap times and their legacy of winning like in NFS MW is shattered! They forget the simple thing called "Brakes" which is used to slow down the car to corner!
I'm a racing enthusiast and i simply love this game. It gives me the closest experience of track racing sitting at home! The in car view is awesome with the actual gear shifts, tachometer and speedometer. Heck, there is even a clutch! The engine revving, the car hitting the revvlimiter. the turbo!!! simply awesome! Hook it up with a Logitech G27 and feel like a racing pro! ;)

NFS Shift returns to the track-based racing of old (and ProStreet) rather than the open-world stuff seen in most of the modern titles. You'll find mainstays like Laguna Seca, Willow Springs and Nurbergring as the backdrops to your tire burning, and each of these are brought to life excellently. They're not 100% accurate compared to their real-world counterparts however as Slightly Mad has tweaked the scenery to provide more compelling views in spots that were a little drab, but the course layouts are indeed intact, which is what's important. Given the course selection in the game (totalling somewhere around the 20 track mark), it's of little surprise that practically every meter of road in the game is fun to drive.

Its an awesome racing game. The best professional racing game . Nice graphics than the previous NFSs. True drifting on tracks in world tour mode . And the cars in here are too hot and awesome .
