The Nematodes Of Indian Mammals

The present work deals with the description of over 440 species of nematodes, belonging to about 154 genera, 54 subfamilies and 33 families and 9 orders, covering validation, invalidation and new propositions of old time species and their taxonomic categories. It is hoped that this book will provide a first hand knowledge of nematodes parasitizing the mammals of India to the students, research workers,veterinarians, wild life managers, helminthologists and even to medical pathologists.

Dr. H.S. Nama has retired as Professional of Zoology and Head, Department of Zoology, Jai Rarain Vyas University, Jodhpur, in August, 1993. He is specialized in the field of Parasitology with long experience of teaching and research. He is devoted to the field of Helminthology in particular and has published 115 research papers and gided several students for Ph.D. degree. Dr. Nama has attended several conferences and chaired the session of 2nd International Sysmposium of Ichthyoparasitology, 1987 at Tihany, Budapest (Hungary). He has written three books (two Books in Zoology in Hindi and one in English on Parasitology -Cestode Parasites of Indian Mammals). Dr. G.B.Shinde has retired as Professor of Zoology from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in April, 1999. He is expert in the field of Helminthology especially Cestodes (Tapeworms). He hs published more than 150 research papers and guided several students for Ph.D. degree. Prof. Shinde has attended and presented many papers in national and international conferences.
