Netgear Wireless-N 150 Router (WNR612)

My previous router was terrible (Edimax), if anyone in the house used torrents, then no one else in the house has no access the internet even though we had a 10mbps connection. But this one is brilliant.
I put it through a very decent stress test, and it passed with flying colours!

Pros:
1. Performs excellent when lot of connections and data transfer are involved.
2. Very tiny. Includes a vertical mount too. (The picture shown seems outdated)
3. Has a ton of features -- includes QoS (you can set priority for gaming etc..)
4. Has even more tons of features ( like traffic control, remote management, net filter )
5. Cheap
6. Has a good range (even though it does not include the antenna as shown in the picture)

Cons:
None. For this price - its perfect.

I needed an inexpensive wireless router. This one was the cheapest. It had only two ethernet ports compared to the normal four. However, since I was to use it for wireless network, it was not an issue at all.

It worked well with my BSNL DSL connection. I had earlier used netgear product, so setting the router up was breeze. I also noticed that the router now comes with more advanced features for parental controls and some dynamic DHCP (which i did not explore).

I registered it with the netgear support site for warranty. However, the site acknowledged the warranty for only one year. The box says 2 years warranty. I am still working this out with the customer service team. They have not come out very responsive on this. However, I had earlier bought a Belkin router with lifetime warranty... and the product did not work at all, and all my emails to customer care emails went unacknowledged and unanswered. Since, netgear has a service office in Bangalore, I am more comfortable.

FLIPKART delivered this product really fast and packaging was marvelous. Cut to the chase; like they say big things come in small packages. Its cute and small but don't let the small looks fool you, it works too good in my 3BHK flat and signal strength only drops from excellent to good in the farthest corner of my house.
One of the best thing about this router is that it supports QoS which in turn supports Wi-Fi Multimedia settings to prioritize Video and Audio over normal data. You can also create priority policies for various stuff like online gaming or applications and even prioritize LAN ports or MAC address separately.

In a word, it's Stupendous. An amazing piece of work from Netgear. Its a N series router and this tiny little piece can do wonder. The receptivity is simply outstanding. The signal catches on every nooks and corners of a 3 BHK flat. Probably, It goes beyond that as the manual suggests which I certainly don't doubt. It looks very attractive and can also be used a show piece, gives a hi tech look to your room...LOL... Jokes apart,It has a great deal of features and one has to explore them with time in hand. The Internet speed never drops down and torrenting can be fun. Security system is also powerful. File sharing is fast as it transfer files at 150 mb/ps over LAN. Can do the same if your internet supports that speed.
Overall, It is the best router available in the market. And its real cheap for a device that good. It'd give it a 6 star.

Great product. Does what it says. No fluff just stuff. Setting it up with Sify broadband connection was a breeze. Only issue was with router's internal PPPoE client. Even with correct login credentials it was failing, so had to go with no login required option and then used Sify BB client on desktop PC to login to ISP. Just need to login to Sify on PC once in 24-hours and that's it. Once login was made on PC, PC can be shut down and router works just fine.

Worth the price! As always, great delivery from Flipkart!
