Never Say Never is a story that revolves around twenty-five year old Nikita Kumar. Tired of the way her life is going, she decides to make a list of things that she will never do in a desperate attempt to change her life.

Summary of the Book

Nikita is unemployed, based in Mumbai, and is unsure of what she wants to do in her life. Things get worse for her when she realizes she is in love with her best friend’s boyfriend, Raghav Shetty, a Radio Jockey with Spruce FM. To top that, she does not even like the man that she is in a relationship with. Tired of her unnecessarily complicated life that is heading nowhere, she decides to change it. The night of her cousin’s wedding arrives, and Nikita sits starts jotting down all the things that she will never do. Some of these vows are: never marry for money, never doubt her abilities, never have feelings for unavailable men, never stay in a relationship with a person she does not love, never get drunk in public, and never wear velvet. However, life does not go according to a plan, and Nikita learns she can never say never.

Anjali Kirpalani is a 26 years old, and a dreamer. Like the protagonist of Never Say Never, she too is 5 feet 2 inches and has frizzy hair. She, however, says that has not fallen for her best friend’s boyfriend, and that even if she ever did, there is nothing that she has done about it. She has had a variety of jobs like radio jockeying, business management, marketing, TV reporting, print journalism and voice-over artistry.
