Book: The New Art Of The Leader Few leadership situations are as severe or as challenging as battlefield situations. However, as USAFR Major General William Cohen writes, "It you know how to lead others on the battlefield, you can lead others in the office, on the sales force, in the Boy or Girl Scout troop, in the church or synagogue, or anywhere else."
The Art of the Leader has long been hailed by a star-studded roster of CEOs and military commanders. Now The New Art of the Leader updates this management classic with state-of-the -art leadership strategies for a new generation, including outstanding military leadership examples from General Norman Schwarzkopf and General Colin Powell in operations as current as Desert Storm and Bosnia.
Using "the combat model of leadership" this book demonstrates how to apply the winning tactics of the military to business, while maintaining absolute integrity. Cohen showcases the skills and drive of remarkable leaders such as director Steven Spielberg, Intel CEO Andy Grove and Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz as well as military commanders from ancient times to today.
Leaders are made, not born. Tap the power of battle-proven leadership in The New Art of the Leader to inspire your workers’ confidence and trust, wrest market share from a fierce competitor, conquer new territory on the internet - in short, to emerge victorious when it counts.
