About The Author
Jeffrey Archer's writing career has spanned almost 30 years. His best-selling novels, which range from Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less to Kane and Abel and The Eleventh Commandment. have sold over 120 million copies throughout the world.
In August 2001, he was sentenced to four years in prison for perjury. During that time he wrote three highly praised and best-selling works of non-fiction entitled Prison Diaries. He was released in July 2003.
He is married with two children and lives in London and Granchester.

A SCAM
It is sad that when we buy books so regularly, we are duped into this sort of a buy. 3 old books ina new title is really sad. The author should be told that we will stop reading him. I do not see why I need to write 200 words to review a book that is a combination of 3 old books.

I was going to order this book blindly but then I read the reviews and the summary about the booka nd stopped. It is indeed nothing short of a scam to name this book as "THE NEW COLLECTED SHORT STORIES"....
But for someone who's being introduced to Mr. Archer, I believe, it's going to be a favourite...

Masterpiece - gripping and gets better for its short story
I have always in awe of Jeffrey Archer for his magnificient spell bouding story telling but I must admit i get intimidated by fat books. Time is a rare commodity in our busy routines and losing connect with the story for want of time is the worst thing to happen. Voila! the short stories scores a perfect ten here. Just like once in a blue moon - this proved to be my adeqaute and brilliant meal to suffice the appetite for sheer great story reading spanning the vast multitude of experience jeff covers in his stories. A great buy. What's more i laid my hands on pre release edition - thanks to flipkart sitting at my home! Also, you can never get tired of this - any time of the year/month/day - short stories will give you company all the way.

This is a good collection. Luckily, this wws my first Jeffery Archer purchase, so all of it was new to me, unlike, many of our fellow readers here, who ended up buying old stories(because of the title).
There's another collection by Jeffery Archer, and am planning to buy that one too.
Just make sure to check out the index/titles page in a bookstore, lest it might include a few stories that you might have already read, as this isn't a new book, just a compilation of his old works.
The choice of stories is however great.
I would totally suggest this to everyone.
