Nikon D5100 SLR Reviews

On April 29th, I placed OD30429021168 order. In this order I have received 2 items but 3 more items are yet to receive. 2 times I e-mailed and 3 times I called flipkart support but did not get sufficient help from them because every time they informed me that in next 4-5 working days the items will delivered which are not delivered till date.

One day suddenly I got call from WS-Retail and they started asking me very arrogantly that whether I will wait for product and refund the amount. Also they said whatever information Flipkart support is given is completely wrong. I asked them what is the reason for this issue. They said First Flight is unable to deliver product to my location. Surprisingly last 2 received items are couriered through First Flight.

This is not the first time happened with me. Last time when I ordered for Lenovo laptop (OD30330080969) they did the same saying laptop not available, better go for different product else take your money back. Later I selected different laptop and they sent it after 10 days of order placement.

First Flight delivered back the items to WS-Retail on 11th May. Still they haven't sent it back to me. Somebody from flipkart called me on Friday (17/05) and said that item will be delivered back to me in next 4-5 days but in Flipkart tracking system nothing is been updated yet.

I am completely clueless and helpless. I inquired this within my organization and in my friend's circle. I got feedback from many that this is been happened with them too in last 5-6 months. There is something really bad happening in Flipkart.

The camera was delivered on time (within two days). However, the lens was not packed tightly and properly. Luckily the lens did not get damaged.

For me, the camera is a good time as this is my first DSLR. The features are simple to use and the picture quality is excellent, even in low light.

It is an excellent camera and to be honest a real value for money. Though i haven't bought from flipkart which is costly regarding electronics item, i bought from a dealer for Rs 29500. But hey you should really get this camera. It's better than D3200 or Canon 550D or 600D. It's a nice sexy camera :D. You won't regret.

Very good DSLR camera. It comes with many features and pre set up modes for different purposes. I really love this camera for how much clarity it gives to pictures even in darkness. Only con i think about is, no 60fps/50fps for video recording(which is not a big deal for many).

An Excellent camera for beginners

An easy to use DSLR, easy to get used to, and falls well within a common man's budget.

The lens that comes with camera is decent, and helps take good photo graphs.

I was stunned by looking at the Flipkart delivery, awesome packing and goodies are very fine, satisfied.

D5100 - Is a very good for a smart and angle shoot.
The 15-88mm lens was great.
I prefer 5100 NIKON rather than canon, u hav more options here whn u compare with any other at this price range.

If you are planning for a basic level DSLR, please buy this one.

Outside flipkart you get little less, but check with free gifts like bag(worth 3k) and 4GB card (300bugs).

service part is bad we have submitted cam since day we purcheasd the coustomer interface at service center in lucknow is very bad and poor sice purchase in jan this year its been with service people you cant imagine how these people treat coustomes ihave writting to support
almost daily they dont come up with proper responces very humiliating method of coustomer handling

Great product . Was confused between canon d550, Nikon 3200 & Nikon 5100. after checking all the three i found the Nikon 5100 is way better and thus i bought it. Thanks to flipkart the delivery was fast.

Bought D5100 about a year back and very satisfied with the still pictures as it requires negligible post processing. Kit lens 18-55 is great; but had to buy 55-200 and a prime 50mm (bought from Flipkart). Added UV filter for all the lenses and lens cleaning kit.

Soon after buying the camera had the opportunity to attend a fine basics program from Nikon School.

Happy that I had decided on D5100.
