You can also view your readings comfortably as this pulse oximeter allows six modes of display directions enabling you to read your results in six different angles.

Performance

The Niscomed pulse oximter provides a safe and comfortable measuring procedure as this device utilizes a non-invasive method to procure your saturated oxygen readings or the amount of oxygen carried by the hemoglobin in your red blood cells. You simply have to place your fingers between the clip-ons in the device and press the button for your measurement process to function.

This pulse oximeter utilizes light-emitting diodes to detect the oxygen content in your blood. When you start the device, it emits light which immediately passes through the sensors in your skin, measuring the hemoglobin in your blood. Two types of lights comprising of red and infrared are emitted, wherein the oxygenated blood absorbs the wavelength of the red light and the deoxygenated blood absorbs the wavelength of the infrared light.

While the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood absorb different light wavelengths, the oximeter operates to find the ratio between the two and gives you the relative measurement, therefore providing you an accurate estimate of your blood oxygen saturation.

Besides performing efficiently and delivering accurate results, the Niscomed pulse oximeter also comes with convenient features that give you a comfortable user experience. The Auto shut-off feature in the Niscomed FPO-50 pulse oximeter enables the device to immediately shut down if left idle for more than 5 seconds, therefore conserving energy and allowing safe usage. Moreover, the display format is also saved when your device shuts down automatically, preventing data loss.

For enhanced convenience, this Pulse oximeter also displays your battery status and indicates when your battery is low. This Niscomed pulse oximeter requires 2 AAA batteries to function soundly.
