Can go for a bettr option with same specifications
Have used this flash....But i would prefer Proplus TT900 which i got from a dealer in Kerala , India..You can find his name over facebook and other internet sites and he is a great dealer...This flash with the same specifications (except the ttl mode) is a great one for amateurs and has great reliabilty b ut cost only 2.5k...If your a amateur yet trust your skill get this manual flash.......Does the work; certainly..try it out......

Good performance
I got this flash a few days back from Flipkart. Currently using it with my Nikon D3100 and quite satisfied with the performance.
The flash also has the AF assist beam(not shown in the picture above). Only drawback is that the flash head cannot be rotated sideways. Another word of caution: use only 1.2 V AA NiMH rechargeable batteries with this product.
Great budget flash. Works on full auto
This is a great general purpose el-cheapo flash for the beginner or the intermediate photographer to play around with lighting and off camera flash.
Works in full auto mode if you're feeling lazy or when getting that shot is important, yet you can change it to Manual or Slave mode.
CAVEAT: Is incompatible with the D5100
