No Matter, Together

Helen Van Arlen never planned on bringing up her three children alone. She had married, left her home in Canada with Van to live in a small upstate New York village. She hadn't wanted, nor would she have opted for the struggle she found her life to be. No Matter, Together is based on a true story beginning in 1947, with the birth of the Van Arlen twins. When the twins were six months old, and their older sister Victoria was three, Van abandons the family. Helen is faced with bringing up the children alone. She discovers a way to make a small amount of money, just enough for them to survive. She struggles with the stigma of a divorced woman, she fights to maintain custody of her children, she nearly loses her meager home to fire and is scared to near insanity by a horrendous hurricane. After seven years, through all her trials and tribulations, she keeps her small family together and takes steps to improve their lives, to a better future. They are starting a new life in a new home, with new opportunities and new tribulations. No Matter what they are faced with, they will be Together.
