Very good indeed

I have installed this one (replacing the stock cooler AMD provides) on my FX 8350 processor, and ran a game which used to result in my CPU temperatures rising to around 65 deg C. post installation of this cooler, the max temperature reached was 49 deg C (both measured with HWmonitor), so I'm quite impressed.
I read many reviews saying this is a very big cooler, but nothing prepares you for the shock when you see it after excitedly unboxing it, especially if all you've seen till then were the ...

Excellent CPU cooler

previously with intel stock cooler, my i7-860 was running 46-48C idle and 97-99C @100% load which is very high..now idle tem is 28-30C and @100% load its 54-57C which is excellent..

People beware..Goto the product website and check for your RAM compatibility before buying product..some high profile ram sticks might come in way of the cooler..from the motherboard, you should have 16cm space till the door of your case..otherwise you cant close your cabinet..be careful..measure before you buy.....

Heat Sink??? Only the best??? Look no further....

I can say and i mean it no one beats noctua in cooling solutions....
I have an i7 4770k and on overclocking it to 4.5 GHz I was getting temps of 70C...
Enters noctua and now temp hardly go above 50C and that is when I play Crysis 3 on max using gtx 770 in sli....that is no small feat....
Simply the best in that price range..
Believe me you will be happy...

Great performer

I have an FX 8350 w/ MSI 990FXA-GD65 and G-Skill RipJawsX 1600 Mhz 8GBx2 RAM. Installation was easy. Dropped my on-load temps from 74C to 51C and is almost inaudible running at full speed ~1250RPM. With the ULNA it's inaudible altogether since my GPU's TwinFrozrIII makes more noise at idle.

HOWEVER, on-load temps when my PC was upright were about 25C higher, i.e. 80C and would keep rising until my PC would shut-off automatically. I am running on firmware defaults for the CPU. I've tried ever...
