Nokia 1280

I started using this after using a Samsung Galaxy 3. This phone (Nokia 1280) gave me something that the Samsung could never give. Peace of Mind. Sexy battery life, loud enough speakers and no fear of losing it.

For entertainment, get an iPod. This is really good as a phone.

I wanted a basic phone as my secondary phone. So bought the Nokia 1280 Graphite color. I like it. It has very useful basic features like torch, countdown timer, radio, bounce (game) and much more. The price of 961 is a bargain actually. In the shops they are charging around 1060. Plus they want cash for it. I am extremely satisfied with this phone and the service delivered by Flipkart.

nokia 1280 is a nice handset in the basic range..
the build of the phone is good, ready to withstand the wear and tear of daily use. the keys are well spaced making texting easy and fast.
the phonebook supports 500 contacts which shpuld suffice for most of the people
the battery backup has been nokia's USP - this time again its excellent - my handset's lasts for 4-5 days with moderate use
addition of fm radio is a welcome feature though nokia doesn't supply headsets with the phone - they have to be purchased seperately
what i liked was the white backlight which is soothing yet bright enough.
most pepl will find the torch a handy tool.

but there is one thing that has been worrisome - sometimes the phone tends to lose signal in midst of calls - i have confirmed it from a friend who has the same handset.
i dunno if its a manufacturing defect, but i will recommend that if your friends have this handset, please confirm it from them.

overall its a value-for-money handset. recommended if you want to have a low priced 2nd phone.
market price is 1050 and at flipkart you can get it for 961, that too sitting at home.
the packaging is excellent and the phone reaches you in 3 days flat.

Well i purchased one in december 2010 for my father as he was just getting used to use a cell phone and this was a good start up phone.

Than it was my turn to get my mother get used to the cell phone world so again am placing an order for her.

Hope it works and makes her basic use easy and comfertable.

In the age of Smart Phones, this cute little thing stands out in the crowd for the people who wants a basic phone for calls and text. This is indeed my best buys. Not because of the price point, but for the longer battery life, distinct keypad and louder ringtone, which makes it very ideal for not so techie.

This I brought for gifting purpose to my parents. On using this product, they had a feedback which reads "WOW!!!" It "IS" the phone which could be made best use by them.

One point worth mentioning in the longer battery life for talk time, which clocks up to 8/8.5 hrs.

If you are looking for a phone, that has a tough quality along with a longer battery life and quality basic features like FM, loud ring tome, larger text display etc, then this is the product worth buying.

Last but not the least, special note for Flipkart, by making this product available. Am not only amazed to receive the product in 4 days flat but also beyond expectation, product was packed on the month of purchase. Kudos Flipkart, for considering the requirement of all the segment of buyers.
