Nokia BH-505

This is a great Bluetooth device.
But at times does require a reset to make it work properly.
I had almost given on it yesterday. It simply refused to turn off. And when it did, refused to turn on.
Read the manual and found how to reset it. So this is working.

Great Range. I can almost roam about 10-20 m and no drop in signal or call quality.

Light Weight and easily fits on the head. You need to choose the earphones for perfect fit from the selection given.

Sometimes it refuses to recognize the handsfree on the phone so press the phone button for 2-3 seconds to make the phone recognize it.

I could not also set it up as the Headset for my laptop. So a minus over there.

Overall a 3 rating out of 5.

IMO, Bluetooth headsets are the only mobile products that Nokia is not lacking in. Although this is one pricey sucker, you get what you pay for.

First of all, this beats all the other headsets in term of looks and ergonomics. The sleek design and light weight make it suitable for long hours of usage. The battery pumps a decent 10 hours of music. The DSP noise cancellation is also pretty robust and will be useful in noisy trains and traffic.

I haven't had any compatibility issues with my Galaxy S, as this headset uses the standard A2DP/HFP protocols for connection.

All in all, if you're not a cheapo and are looking for a good headset, BH-505 is strongly recommended.

Cons:
1. the design is not so great: the device is no so sleek that it fits to the share of your head. Instead it dangles being your head.
2. Its not comfortable when u r jogging..the jerks puts pressure of your ears. So cant use for prolonged hours.
3. being a biker i found it tough to fit into my helmet.
4. when i am traveling in bus in semi-sleeper, i cannot lay stretched in the seat and use this headset. This is because as per the design, it headset rests being your head. So would ve preferred a headset that rests on the top of your head.
5. It gathers enough noise from the surrounding, so sound clarity is not great.
6. But costly for a headset with so many design flaws.
Pros;
1. Rugged built.
2. good battery charge retention.
3. good music fidelity.
4. Headset has all the voice/ music controls in it.

I got this headset after I used one of my colleagues Nokia BH 505 for music. I rate it a 4 out of 5. It loses 1 point because of the bad experience while using it for calls.

Pros :
1. Awesome bass, when you fix the right size of ear buds according to your ear canal size. For me the default ear buds gave the best performance.
2. Mids and lows were also great.
3. Battery backup is excellent. I listen to music daily for around 2 hours and have to charge it once in a week. Charging process is really fast, and gets fully charged in just 1.5-2 hrs.
4. Bluetooth signal is quite strong. I can roam around my room keeping the phone somewhere. Really good at penetrating walls too. Even at a distance of 10 meters there's almost no drop in sound quality.
5. All controls available on the ear buds. Volume +/-, Play/Pause, seek forward/reverse a track, skip to next and previous track, accept a call, redial the last call. Intelligently arranged on the ear buds, the small chrome plated switches do all the work. And really easy to operate while driving.
6. Made up of flexible and light material. In the pics it may seem to be a heavy headset, but in reality, one of the lightest headsets ever. Doesn't break so easily because its really flexible.
7. Both the white and black variants are good looking. I ordered the white one because I have a white Nokia C6 phone.

Cons :
1. I was disappointed when I used it for calls. The mic is not that great. Transmits a bit of noise.
2. Another strange thing I noticed was the guy who's at the other end, hears sounds of the surroundings more than your own voice. The mic tends to pick up noise from far places and mixes them with your voice.

To summarize I must say, its a really great product for music. If you've are buying a bluetooth headset for the first time, you'll be really excited about the comfort and ease of listening to wireless streaming music from this device. But if you want to buy this for calls, it won't be a good choice. Plantronics Bluetooth headsets are really good for calls.

First off - The delivery was done by "Flash" (the superhero... yeah he works for flipkart. It was sooo fast that i felt like crying!!)
The product:
- Wanted this for my fitness freak wife so that she can take a call n listen to music at the same time.
- she uses it with Nokia E 71.. Pairs like a charm.
- The instructions booklet was not very helpful regarding position of buttons, had to find things for myself on the net.
- I have used it with I pod touch 3rd gen. works beautifully.
- Used it with Playstaion 3 as a bluetooth mike n headphone for online gaming... pairs nicely.
- Two ways to wear it...over the ears n below the ears... find the way you r comfortable.
- Comes with 5 or 6 in ear silicon attachments.
- The outside noise blocking is almost 90%.
- Only con is getting used to the weight of the headphones.. which is obviously lil more that the ususal jogging headphones.
