Design
The Nokia E5 features a typical QWERTY candy-bar chassis that measures 115 x 58.9 x 12.8 mm and weighs 126 g. The E5 sports a well-spaced, tactile keyboard with fair amount of travel and feedback. Nokia has added a neat set of shortcuts for the E5 including one for turning Bluetooth on and off, which will please those who like to have an earpiece in for phone calls. Another useful shortcut is the space bar, press and hold it to turn the camera flash on or off.
Battery and Storage
The Nokia E5 comes with 256 MB of onboard memory and recognizes upto 32 GB microSD cards. The mobile is powered by a 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery that is rated for 7 hrs of talk time and 600 hrs of standby time.
Connectivity and Features
The E5 is built for high-speed web connectivity and comes with 3G (HSDPA) and Wi-Fi connectivity. The mobile works seamlessly with your computer to sync your documents, photos and calendar. The Nokia E5 supports Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler for faster Push Mail notifications. You can also view/edit Documents on the go with the Quickoffice application. The mobile supports A-GPS and is preloaded with Ovi Maps, Nokia's free navigation solution which offers free life-time Walk and Drive Navigation support.
The mobile's browser is based on the same WebKit rendering engine as Google's Android Browser and delivers a user-friendly web navigation experience. The Nokia E5 supports access to Facebook and Twitter. Keyboard shortcuts and the D-Pad lets you zoom in and out of individual web pages and get a quick overview of a page. The Nokia E5 lets you access up to 10 personal email accounts including Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail and supports Windows Live, Yahoo!, Google Talk and Ovi Chat IMs.
The E5 has a single home screen which can be configured with different sets of apps, shortcuts and widgets. The device supports a range of personalization options, you can configure the homescreen to provide access to the Wi-Fi sniffer and email notifications when you're working, and make it show Facebook and Twitter updates when you are away from office. Good, Sturdy and affordable
I have been using this phone for about 11 months now. Being a mechanical engg, i am sure i am the roughest user of the phone. Have dropped it more than 6-7 times, handled with dirty hands and still the phone works like new. the music player and video is good and battery life is simply super. I read e-books while travelling and listen to songs and at times watch mp4 movies all through, yet the battery still seems to have much more to give me. the camera is good enough to give decent images. all through, its a good value for money. Though applications seem to be limited, how many do we use it quite regularly anyways na? so never regret buying this phone.

Excellent Phone
Using this for last 2 Months plus, very good phone . bought at 11500 from Mobile store GIP Noida.. added a screen guard and pouch ( additional price).
Very fast browsing, texting , reception, excellent camera .
Only negative- resolution could have been better (like E72), but then you have to pay 5000 INR extra.

Value for Money
Been using this mobile for 7 months now and satisfied with the mobile.
Pros
- Multitasking monster. Can have several apps open at the same time, and still the mobile performance is excellent.
- Excellent QWERTY keypad with smooth keys, makes typing real quick and easy.
- Good 3G connection speed.
Cons
- Outdated Symbian OS, with no upgrades.
- Limited number of applications on Ovi store.

Value for money all-rounder
Nokia E5-00 @Rs.10,000 is a real value for money allrounder.
Pros - Excellent QWERTY keypad, easy email set up & push mail, many useful apps pre-loaded & more available on Ovi store, very good build, multi-tasking capability, Ovi maps can be used offline (saving data charges), Office documents viewing as well as editing, WiFi connectivity, many personalisation options, integrated facebook app, long battery life, 5MP camera, and many many more!
Cons - Smallish screen, poor visibility outdoors, average symbian browser (though supporting Flash). Opera Mobile browser can be a handy download.

Great Phone to have...
I've bought the mobile through Flipkart.com... Got an excellent deal... The mobile was received in perfect condition just within 3 days of payment.
Looks and Ergonomics: The ergonomics is good. Materials are of very good quality.
Operating System: I'm quite new to Simbian OS as the other mobile I'm having is Samsung Omnia which is a Windows based mobile... But I can tell all of you that though I've loaded the memory card with 100s of songs and videos etc but the mobile is amazingly fast. At least better than my Windows based and other Symbian mobiles my uncles and friends are using.
Camera: I found the Camera is though 5 MP but not that impressive picture quality at least under flash. Along with that features are also much lesser than my Omnia's Camera. Flash/Torch is quite powerful. Video Quality is also pretty OK...
E-mail: Configuration of mail is very easy. Only thing is if I want to mark/select multiple mails or messages every time I have to click the option button and from there we need to go through the menu elements then select mark/unmark and in submenu I have to select the mark button which is pretty annoying...
Other than that, mostly I liked the features... I'ld like to say that if u buy this mobile, you are going to get impressed...
