Noli Me Tangere es el texto ms clebre de Jos Rizal. Rizal escribi su novela sobre la sociedad de Filipinas en el siglo XIX en medio de su actividad poltica, y pretendi denunciar los desmanes del gobierno espaol y sus instituciones religiosas a travs de un relato en el que comparecen las clases sociales imperantes, el amor y la reflexin histrica. Noli Me Tangere is the most celebrated work of Jos Rizal. The novel presents Philippine society in the 19th century, and was written while Rizal was engaged in his political activities, working to free the Pacific island nation from the Spanish empire. The book was written to denounce the abuses of the Spanish colonial government and its religious institutions. The story portrays the ruling social classes, through love affairs and reflections on historical realities.
